Super Nurses With Sleeves (Support Group)
Midge73 replied to Need-a-Sleeve's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Just wondering to all the nurses, how long did you take off work? I work on the respiratory/ventilator and on the palliative floor. So as you all know lots of lifting and pulling, heavy patients, have a couple bariatric patients as well, 400 + lbs.just not sure how much time off to ask for. -

Leg cramps and headaches with pre-op liquid diet?
Midge73 replied to tfowler's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am not pre op yet, have only just started the process. The headache day 3-4 is withdrawal from carbs/sugar and you likely feel run down and tired also?? I was on a high protein and extreme low carb diet before and lost 60 pounds, but have gained most of it all back now I got the headache day 3 and it lasted a couple days, I was told that it was fro withdrawal from carbs/sugar. It will go away. Also you will likely have issues with being cold pretty soon. I was always in a sweater, even in summer. -
Just curious if anyone has made a down payment to one clinic and then had second thoughts and opted out of the surgery. Is it possible to get down payment back? Feeling like I haven't been given all the information I need for this, and all they were worries about was getting he money! Had a previous consult with other company and feel like I would be better off going to them.
