I had VSG surgery in March 2012 and I’ve thanked God almost every day since. 

I’m retired and living in Florida with my new husband. I’m also a recovering overeater. As a child and young adult, we were poor and food was often scarce and seldom nutritious. I could go on to tell about all that made me plus-sized, depressed, and always looking for love and acceptance, but I’m not unique.

What I’d really like you to know is that my life is better than I ever dreamed possible. VSG didn’t solve everything and it definitely wasn’t easy, but it was the kickstart I needed to gain confidence and work on living a better life.
