Has anyone had a pregnancy post surgery?
butterfly2014 replied to BrwnsugabayB's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Nikki I had this discussion with both my surgeon and nutritionist today and they told me I better use some sort of protection with hubby cause once I start dropping the weight I will become very likely to get pregnant and they said its best to wait one year before getting pregnant. Once your pregnant your Dr and/or nutritionist will help you tweak you diet to get enough nutrients for your baby. GL on your WLS journey! -

struggling to have support and understanding...
butterfly2014 replied to Angi~2014's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
People are going to talk, make comments, be negative...etc etc. At the end of the day it is your decision alone. You have a supportive husband, what else do you need. I wish you the best on your wls journey! -
Southwest Airlines is your BEST option! I know for a fact that they will give you two seats at no extra charge! Just when you check-in make sure to tell them...usually they are good at offering it to you if they see that you are overweight. I know it sucks but at least you wont have to pay for a 2nd seat and this will be your last time having to worry about this

Can you share what type of PAT tests you did just before surgery? TIA

Did anyone else not do a full 2 week preop diet?
butterfly2014 replied to Justicenga's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgeon is putting me on a 1 week liquid diet, optional to do 2 weeks for better outcome of shrinking liver. So I'm going to do 2 weeks. As far as going back to work 2-3 weeks....Dr said at least 2 weeks to fully recover. -

Yaaaay just found out my test was normal. Thank God. I see my surgeon this Thursday to go over all my tests. If he could only tell me "Ok I'm going to move your surgery up"...wishful thinking I know.
