My BMI is 50 and I'm 31 years old. I also want to get healthy to start a family with my hubby. Continue pushing forward...good luck with your consult! Best wishes on your WLS journey -
I was also a soda addict. Try drinking as much water as possible. Ask your surgeon if your allowed to drink crystal lite during your pre op diet. I won't be doing pre op diet until next month myself. Wish you the best on your WLS journey!

Starting the journey again....
butterfly2014 replied to law001's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know exactly how you feel. Ive been overweight all my life and I was on roll in 2012 I had lost 35lbs on my own and then I had a car accident and ended up with 3 herniated discs and neuropathy on my right leg. I've never had backpain in my life. Needless to say its been a tough road since and after hearing numerous Dr's tell me WLS is the best route for me instead of spine surgery. You are going to do awesome, there is a light @ the end of the tunnel. Best wishes on your WLS journey!! -

Try doing an apple day, usually lose 2-3lbs if you do it for one day. Look it up...best of luck on your WLS journey!! -
Kicked psych evals butt!

Congrats!!! -
The best thing you can do is research both procedures. The sleeve has less risks and your intestines aren't touched, bypass is more extensive. I went in wanting to do the bypass but then the surgeon educated me on both procedures and I decided to go with the sleeve. So my best advice to you is to research online. Best of luck on your WLS journey!
