Thanks Phyllser & everyone, I'm now at 49 lbs down, that was a nice surprise the last time I weighed myself. I'm going to change my picture soon. I'll try to post a "before" & "after" pic soon. I'm even amazed how much different I look. As for my wife, she still has not change in her weight lose goal, still not losing. (she is not Banded). Once in a while I ask her if she would be interested in being Banded. She does not say much but I know she has thought about it. She turns 65 in Dec '09 so would be covered by Medicare. Her BMI is 38 with medical problems so she would be eligible. Time will tell. Love to all, Don

Yes Phyllser & everyone, I made it back. Thank you for asking. There's Good news & there's Good news. I have not been losing for the past 2-3 weeks but have been losing "inches", but have started losing again. Even better news is I am now OFF all my blood pressure meds AND all my Diabetic meds, also cut my cholesterol meds in half. I have my next appt with my family Doc in Sept and "might" be able to get off the rest of my meds. It sure is strange to get up in the morning and all I have to take is my Vitamins, etc. I’m now down 47 lbs. I see my post op-Doc (Dr. Low) on June 30th. I’m not sure if she will give me a fill or not. Well see. I see everyone is doing very good. Keep up the good work, Don -

Finnaly made it back, Sorry I have not been on for awhile. Really not much of an excuse. I have only lost 2 lbs this past month but have lost a lot of inches. Sence my surgery I have lost 43 lbs, but have lost 22 inches if you add them all together. I had fun last week, I went through my closit and took out all the cloths I could not wear. I went from 2XL(XXL) to 1XL(XL). I found and took out 20 shirts & one pair of pants. That made me feel good. Glad to hear most everyone is doing well & progressing in the right dirrection. I seen the post op Doc last week and also the diatision to make sure I was still on track. Everything was ok in that department. To all us loosers, (that's a good thing) Don -

Hi Ya'll, I just had my latest Doc visit. Found out I was low on IRON and have to start taking Iron tablets. Other than that the Doc said I'm doing very well. Next moth on my next Doc's appt. I'll also be seeing the Diatition to check on how I'm doing. I still think I'm eating too much at one time, so I'm correcting some of my eating habits. Next Appt I'll probibly be tweeked again. W'll see. Over than that I'm doing very well and am very happy I've been Banded. Don PS: Happy to see the new people that have been Banded. Good luck to all of you and hang in there. -

I have been told that if you are getting over 60-70 grams of protien per day you should not be losing any hair. Give that a try. Don -

Sorry to hear about your slow loosing. I had mine 10-28-09 and have lost 42 lbs. If you haven't lately, I think you should get together with a Diatition and reveiw your eating habits. They keep a very good eye on me to be sure I'm eating enough or TOO much and eating heathy. Good luck and stick with it. Don -

This is what happened to me. The first fill was 3 cc's and did not really feel like I had a fill, but I still lost weight. The 2nd fill was 1 cc and that was the "tight" one. It was sooo tight that I felt like it was too tight, but called the nurse the next day, she told me that what I felt was normal. One week later it still felt like it was still TOO tight and called her again. She gave me some encouragement and still said I was doing just fine. Now about three weeks sence the 2nd fill I can see a very good improvement and am "ok" with it. Wow, what a road traveled to get this far. I'm feeling again that this is all worth it. Don -

Hi everyone, I'm now almost three weeks after my 2nd fill (Total of 4 CC's) Doing much better. The last three days I have been able to drink my 8 glasses of fluids and eating much better. NOW I know what restriction really is. Lost about 6-7 lbs the first week, now down 10lbs sents the 2nd fill for a total of 40 lbs down. Feels good to break into the 40's. Doing better each day learning what Band is telling me. I am Burbing a lot, but no vomiting. My nurse said it was called Productive Burbing. In most cases it's telling you the new poutch is full. Do different people explain it differently? Finally feeling better about my newer fill. Don -

Thank you, WOW, it sure is tight, but I'm doing better day by Day. I sure had to change my eating habits. I'm eating a little bit more each day, still not getting the amount of food or water I'm suppost to but it's hurting less as I eat & drink. I'm at 37 lbs down for the last 3 days. That might be a good thing as I continue to adjust to this last fill. (From a different post) You said that when you 1st get a fill you have swelling, that's one of the quetions I was going to ask, WHY the pain?? That pretty much explains it. THANKS. My 1st fill did not feel like much of a restriction but this 2nd one made me feel what a "REAL" restiction is like. It got my attention right away. Just hanging in there and trying to understand what "THE BAND" is telling me. Thanks to everyone for the help & incouragement. Don -
