    Still in pain

I'm glad I'm helping you! I was miserable and scared I would have that pain forever, and everyone kept telling me I be patient but it was hard! Yes laughter is good even though I did cry a lot! I'm much better now! No pain at all and working out at the gym 3 days a week! I just started losing again after being stalled for 2 weeks. There is a light at the end if the tunnel and you will get through this soon!!

    Still in pain

Splatt83 yes you will be ok! It is probably from sneezing and using your abdomen muscles. I couldn't lay down for 5 wks. I had to sleep in my recliner. Could be suture pulling as well. Hang in there!!

    Still in pain

Yes the more activity I did the more pain I was in. I know everyone is different but just in case the day before they finally popped I was in the worst pain of all and felt like I was going backwards and so upset. I was 5 wks out and at shop rite an could hardly move. The next day is when yet FINALLY popped So keep that in mind. It might get worse before it gets better!! I prayed every night to wake up an the sutures popped. It was exactly 5 wks! What a relief!!! It does happen and you will feel much better!!! Hang in there!!!! Ohhh I feel your pain! But I hope I'm giving you hope as someone who went through it!!

How are you feeling Katie? Did the sutures pop?

    Still in pain

Hang in there KatieTC! I was counting the days and minutes until my sutures popped! When they didn't in 2-4 wks like the dr said I cried for a wk! It would feel better than all of a sudden I would be in a lot of pain. For example 5 wks out I went to shop rite and could hardly walk or move I was in so much pain. The next day at one point I got up from the couch and was so excited I could move pain free and I was all better!!!! I didn't feel it pop I could jut bend and move pain free. My point it might not happen when they say it will. I thought they would never loosen but hold in there it does happen and you will instantly feel better!!!! I'm hoping for you everyday they pop soon!!!!!!!!

    Still in pain

KatieTC- I'm 8 wks out now but my story sounds like yours! The day after the surgery I stood up and couldn't stand all the way and noticed my stomach had a big bulge on the left side. Come to find out my inner sutures were tied too tight and in 2 spots the were pulling my outer stomach in so it was very painful to move. When I got home I couldn't lay down, had to sleep in my recliner. Make a long story short the dr told me it would take 2-4 wks for the sutures to release and pop. It took 5 wks. Once it did I felt much better no pain! I was in pain for that whole 5 weeks anytime I moved around because the sutures were pulling. It definitely delayed being about to exercise and move around comfortably. I was out of work for 3 wks and needed a fourth week. I couldn't walk without my hand supporting the left side of my belly. I'm wondering if you have the same thing happening? I hope you feel better soon!!!! Try ice that is what the dr told me.
  11. Hi I'm 8 wks post op as of yesterday. I still get hungry but when I eat a few bites I'm full. It is definitely worth it but not as easy as I thought. I thought the weight would fall off but that is not the case. You definitely still have to work at it. I fight everyday to try to increase my water intake. Right now I'm getting between 42-48 ounces including my 2 shakes a day. I have nausea every morning and on and off through out the day but I just started normal food so I think that is why. It is tolerable. I have no regrets at all and an so happy with my decision To get the sleeve!! I'm in a stall right now. I lost 25 pounds so far in 8 wks which sounds like a lot but I have been the weight for 2 wks. Today I lost one pound. I was walking before but now joined a gym 3 day a wk. as for work after 1 wk, I took 3 wks off, I had issues with my inner sutures being tied to tight and had I wait for them to pop. It was uncomfortable sitting after awhile so as long as you can get up and walk around a little bit you should be fine! Good luck and it is the best thing I did for myself!!!

You look fantastic!!! Keep up the good work!!!!!
  13. For those of you that get B12 shots do you feel it helps with your energy? I'm 8 wks post op and have no energy and very fatigued. I went to my Primary Dr today and she did a ton of Bloodwork (b12, vitamin D ect). Is I bad to say I'm hoping they are low because I heard the shot helps better than the sublingual vitamin. She said I will get the shots if needed.

If you have chocolate put a little peanut better in it and blend, it is like a desert! Yummy! Also strawberry I mushed a little banana and blended it. That was good too. It helped me to get a few flavors. I have vanilla too. Also you can put it in the freezer and drink it really cold. Good luck!

    Protein / protein drinks?

Nolookinback- my dr said when I buy protein shakes make sure the first ingredient is Whey Isolate protein. That tip was helpful to me because there is so many I choose from. I use syntax nectar. I get it at the vitamin shoppe.
