Hi, I am new to this forum-I am now 8 days post-op and ready to move to phase 3 foods-so, so tired of full-liquids. I am just trying to work out the kinks. I have a terrible metalic taste in my mouth, I understand it is temporary but it seems to change the way things taste. The hardest thing for me right now is getting all the protein in-I feel better when I get the 60-70 grams recommended-but it is proving harder then I thought. The protein powder is a great help though now I am getting nauseated if I add the full-scoop to my two ounces of meals-ugh! Such a trial! Surgery went well, more pain then I expected but I am feeling good now-I just seem to suffer from fatigue, I have no energy because I am not eating a lot I guess.
I see my surgeon tomorrow, and I am hoping I move to chewing again!
