  1. @@amazon Thanks for sharing. Keep us posted. I am so curious on the recuperation process since nobody really ever talks about it.

Need advice - luncheon Sunday - What do I do?

@@healthier&happier4life That's fantastic! You did great and isn't it hilarious that nobody really notices this stuff? Everyone is always worried about their own stuff. I'm glad it worked out for you and I'm glad you went so now you know it can be done and can be very social without worrying.

Need advice - luncheon Sunday - What do I do?

But eat before you go! lol. Have some yogurt or whatever fits your plan before you go over there. Or, if you don't care who knows about your surgery you could call the hostess to find out what they are serving to see if there is something that you would be able to eat. Depends on how comfortable you are with that. But I would eat before I went, then possibly put food on my plate and push it around and then just tell them (if they ask) that I'm not feeling very well and just couldn't eat after all. But if they have something you know you can eat, then go ahead.

    Canned tuna v. Chicken

As the others have said, chicken is too tough. Tuna is very mushy so can be easily swallowed and digested at very early stages. How do you make your tuna? I don't know if that might make a difference. I now use non-fat plain greek yogurt instead of mayo to make mine. I also put in relish. I don't know if you should or not but it's the only way I will eat tuna.

    Pill crushing ?

Fairly quickly. I know I crushed them longer than I needed to because nobody told me I didn't have to. THey said if I cut them in half or as small as a tic tac, or similar then I didn't need to crush them. And that was fairly early on. It just has to be able to get through the openings inside you.
  6. What is a 360? How much, generally, does plastic surgery cost? Specifically the tummy tuck, then the arms? For each one, approximately how long before you can go to work or out in public? Thanks
  7. Can someone explain what it is and how it is done? THanks.
  8. I don't know what calorie cycling is. I CAN tell you that I don't count calories anymore, I only count grams of Protein, fats, and carbs. So much easier. Are you suggesting that one week you do x number of calories, maybe on the high end and then the next week you drop it much lower, and then the following week, go way up again?

    Following diet plan

Chicken is not really a soft food unless you puree it or do something completely different. Most everyone has had a problem with chicken at this stage. But you should not jump ahead.
  10. My parents are food pushers!! I'm visiting them right now for a week and it is constant, even though I tried to head it off by having a calm conversation when I first arrived. But everyday "do you want strawberry shortcake" "Ice cream" "cake", "cookies" "hot dogs" "sausages" -- should I go on??!! It's insane. My dad does it even while I'm in the process of eating. It's really hard. There will always be someone who does that. They really don't mean anything by it, not really trying to sabotage, sometimes it's all they know.
  11. @@heidikat72 You. Are. Awesome!
  12. @@Fettchick83 It doesn't HAVE to be Crystal Light. I'm only saying what I am doing. There are many other similar options.
  13. @@pattyoj I do it to most these days. Not all but I don't see why you couldn't.
  14. Crystal light saved me! I actually love water but have been surprised how little I drink. I switched to Crystal Light and can power through so much more water now. The Protein shakes--just keep trying different flavors until you find a good one. I did find that the Vanilla mixed with pineapple juice tastes like a Pina Colada but we're really not supposed to have juice. but, it does help with getting the protein in

    Sleep study?

Mine was required. And if you go to a sleep center, you are right, you won't sleep! lol. But you will doze off enough to have them get results.

    NOTHING TASTE GOOD:(

Your taste buds will change back soon. Just keep trying different things and then later swing back around and try all these again because your taste buds go through several changes and for most people go back to almost normal. Be patient and enjoy each phase, even this one.

    Feeling alone[emoji17][emoji17]

You are not alone--you have us. And you should start going to a support group to be with others who have gone through this. That really helps.

    Another stall

Yes and you will have more, unfortunately. Get back to basics: -- keep a food journal -- drink all your Water -- track and eat all your Protein (often if you increase grams of protein it gets you out of a stall) -- don't drink with meals -- wait 30 minutes until after your meal to drink water again -- exercise I don't remember others but these are key. Best of luck

    Feeling a bit concerned

Don't stress. This is your normal. As someone else said, this might change soon so make sure you are always drinking slowly, eating slowly and really chewing (when you get to real food). Congrats on your surgery and best of luck.
  22. For the most part, especially with the first stall, just keep focused and following the program. However, later when you have other stalls, I do recall that increasing the grams of protein has helped, believe it or not!! Of course, there is an upper limit of grams that you shouldn't go over but often times we think we are getting in enough protein but sometimes we underestimate and once we increase it to the right level, the weight starts to come off again.
  23. Definitely call the doctor. Best of luck to you! It sounds like it is fairly common and also easy to fix.
