  1. I’m reading through these posts. Perception. Our self perception is off. Since, I recognized that in myself, I’ve sought to understand that. Why is it broken, “misgadged”? Why does my inside hardly ever match? I feel that if I understood why, then I could adjust that in myself. My lowest weight, post surgery, was 176. I have regained 39 pounds! I look at pictures of myself at my lowest, and feel great about my appearance. But, I remember those moments, in my mind, I was not internally feeling as my outsides appeared.

    What does hunger feel like?

I remember that feeling. It will go away in time. I do believe it was related to stomach acid. I was sleeved March of 2014. I am just now figuring out what my new feelings are and how they relate to hunger. My emotional eating has began to sneak up on me. When my body is hungry I do have an overall "empty" feeling. I am going to begin smarter meal planning and utilizing my fitbit. I am realizing that at this point for me it is about fat percentage loss and not getting caught up in what I weigh.
  4. It's certainly not a pain or discomfort you can explain to someone that has never felt it. It is both those, however, more discomfort than pain. Every day, this far, has shown improvement in my mobility and comfort.

    Two Year Surgiversary

I absolutely enjoyed your entry and it came at a good time. I jotted down helpful thoughts and tips you shared. My surgery is next Monday, 3/24. I am happy, scared, nervous, excited, and sad a little too. So many emotions, and so much hard work to do. Truly though, I am looking forward to this journey. Thanks again for the wonderful post. I was a breath of fresh air. -Tasha

    Feeling doubtful?

Your fortunate to be married and going through this. I had no idea how being single and going through this alone would effect me.
  9. Today is my first day of my pre-op diet. I want to eat, I have a head ache and an feeling very alone tonight. Chin up, I'm telling myself. These days will go by fast. This is making me truly reflect, is food part of my happiness or eating it?
