Hi my name is Christie....
I found bariatricpal through my bariatric support group post-op surgery. It took me a year to get my ok for surgery due to meds I was taking...the concern was for absorption of a main med I was taking....thus the idea of getting the Sleeve Gastrectomy. If it werent for my pre op screening I wouldnt have found out I had Sleep Apnea and exercise induced Asthma. Which is life threatening! I was really determined to get this surgery despite prior reservations from the bariatric team...Michelle Lexmond really went to bat for me which I am grateful! We found a med that was disentegrating yay! I was kept for a third day post-op due to not being able to keep down fluids. After stopping the pain meds I was finally able to keep down fluids and was sent home.It has now been 11 weeks post op without complications Thank God! ;-)
