    Considering surgery in Mexico

Most surgeons in Mexico are more qualified than American surgeons. If you are looking to get a sleeve, the best surgeon is Dr Guillermo Alvarez. Is clinic is in Piedras Negras, Mexico. His clinic is called Endobariatric. He has tons of YouTube videos about everything you could possibly want to know about the sleeve. If you have questions about anything, he answers all emails and messages. He will also address any concerns in his talk show Every Monday evening, he does a one hour talk show on www.ifmradio.mx. It's in English and his show is called Obesity Chat. Here are his links: www.endobariatric.com https://www.facebook.com/Endobariatric https://www.facebook.com/sleevedoctor He is very approachable and friendly. Good luck!!!
  3. Hi Everybody, I had a revision from a sleeve to bypass along with a hiatal hernia repair on January 13, 2014 in Montreal. I had C Difficile 3 times between November 3, 2013 until January 12, 2014 (before the surgery) and it has recurred twice since the surgery between January 13, 2014 and today (February 11, 2014). The cost of each treatment is roughly $1300. Now since the surgery, the pain hasn't subsided yet. It has migrated though... Where it use to be solely on the area of my belly button. Now it has moved to my right side just under my ribcage and resonates around to my back. The pain is awful, and the diarrhea is constant. I am at my wits end with all of this and really want to get up and go out, but I can't. Basically, I'm just about completely bed ridden or toilet ridden. Right now, I take 5 hot baths a day, I have a hot Water bottle that I sleep with on my tummy and a pillow between my knees. Please somebody tell me what else I can do.
  4. You all have to understand something... You only hear about the "botched" surgeries in Mexico because it is a foreign country. Nobody talks about the number of "botched" surgeries in the US or Canada. There are far fewer in Mexico! The private medical system in Mexico is far superior to any developed country I've dealt with. They need to compete with the US and Canada for their reputations before they even pick up the scalpel. The number one rule no matter where you go??? Do your research!!!!

    Considering surgery in Mexico

There are quite a few lending institutions that support surgeries in Mexico. Go onto the surgeons websites and they usually have them listed there. I used Dr Joya in 2011 and went through Medicard (Canadian) with no issues at all.
