About Me
The surgery was no magic bullet, but it was one of the most important and radical things I've done. I am getting there one pound at a time. It is a great journey, and not because I can wear single-digit-size clothes (which is wonderful, won't lie, I like it) but that's no longer my sole goal. The lesson for me is: the scale is a messenger - not a friend or a foe. My health IS important, not just my appearance. Without surgery, however, I probably would have been shoveling food in my mouth, it was the reset I needed.
