I'm scheduled for 4/14 as well! I hope the next 19 days go by fast!

I have Aetna, I only had to do 3 months supervised diet. My surgeon required more than my insurance. But mine was submitted on Friday of last week and was approved on Tuesday! I consider that pretty quick!

Already had my date of 4/14 but now it's official since my insurance approved! I'm beyond excited and hope the 14th gets here ASAP! I go next week to see the surgeon for the last time before surgery. Eeek! 31 is going to be my best year yet!

I'm having mine on the 14th in Dothan! Are you using Dr Robbins or Dr Marker?

Casie looks like we will be sleeve sisters I'm being sleeved on April 14th as well. I'm at noon how about you??I'm not sure of the exact time. Will have definite info once insurance approves. I'm sure it will be a morning surgery time. I'm so excited. I can't wait to feel like I have control of my life again! How much weight are you hoping to drop? I definitely want to hit the 100lbs mark for my weigh loss.

They submitted me to insurance on Friday and I'm tentatively scheduled for the 14th. I'm beyond excited! It's only 4 weeks away! And last week at weigh in I had lost 7.9lbs in one week! Yay!

Hi everyone. I stumbled across this site and thought it might be a good place for me to talk with others who are going through the same things. I am 30yrs old, I have 3 children and I have been overweight for as long as I can remember. Now that we are finished having babies I made the decision to finally do something for myself rather than for everyone else. I began the process back at the first of the year and should be scheduled for surgery around mid April. I look forward to hearing from others.

I went for my first consult in mid January and after looking over my insurance policy I found that I could go with the 3 month dietary plan rather than 6 months. I don't know what I expected but I assume it wouldn't be submitted to insurance until closer to the 3 month mark. I've done everything the insurance requires and almost everything the surgeon requires. All that's left is a sleep study and the classes they require leading up to your surgery date. So I guess my question is, how long does it typically take to hear back from insurance and then if approved do I still have to wait until the 3 month mark? I'm so confused!

Won't be long for you! Good luck! I'm hoping with all the remaining small things left to do that the next 2 months go by quickly. How old are your boys? My girls are 5 and the twins just turned 2 last month.

I should be ready to go in April. I go this week for a "procedure" class. So far I've had my psych eval, submitted my weights for the last 3 years, gone to the required PT session, started my 3 month diet to lose 20lbs. Most of the items left on my check list won't be a big deal. Oh I still have to have the sleep study done. I know some surgeons require it and some done. April won't get here fast enough!
