Surgeon's Office -- Attention To Detail
MsButterKup23 replied to Shelby's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Sorry to hear this. I had a similar experience with Lap Band Solutions, they are idiots. I waited from April until August and they hadn't even submitted my paperwork to the ins company. My surgeon fired them and got someone in house to do his insurance stuff. Best of luck to ya! -
My hubby had surgery almost 3 wks ago. He says he doesn't feel like anything was done other than an occasiaon pain from his port. Give your body time to heal. And don't forget to use the breathing thingy even though you are hurting!! Best of luck to ya!

I have the 4cc and hubby has the VG, there is about 100lbs difference between us, not sure if that had anything to do with Dr. Powell using the bigger one on him.. I trust the good ole doctor's reasoning.

Hi, I can't say for sure. But I know that the band helps reflux in some cases and there have been a few people on here with hernias that were repaired either before (seperate surgery) or at the time of Lap Band surgery. Best of luck to you! -
Possible Clothing Swap for Texas LBTs...
MsButterKup23 replied to banded_for_life's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Thanks Keri for hosting such a great get together. I truely enjoyed visiting with each of you. I can't wait for our next get together. Here, I sized it down and fixed the red-eye. -
I thought I would share something that has really helped me. I started out at almost 300lbs (297 to be exact) and the thought of needing to lose 150lbs is VERY overwhelming, as most of you know. Instead of concentrating on the whole 150 I have broken up my goals into 10lb increments. Right now I am trying to get to 229, next it will be 219, then 209, etc. I know it's silly but it really has helped me feel like I am accomplishing something rather than looking at a huge task at hand.

I was drinking a lot of sodas after my 2nd fill. Since I've had my 3rd fill I'm really restricted and have maybe one a week. It takes me 2-3 days to drink 20 ozs and it's usually flat by the time I finish. I buy the 20 oz diet Sprite and drink what I want, cap it off and put it back in the fridge. My doctor too says no sodas, but I drink very little at one time and no big gulps. -
Sadly another Lopez erosion...

Mine can be tender at times, mainly when I sleep on it at night. Your English is fine by the way.. where are you from?

Mine and hubby's were both done as outpatient.

I need some opinions here... I had my 3rd fill about 3 weeks ago. This fill has a lot of restriction to it. I finally figured out how much I can eat w/o getting sick. I am able to eat about 4 ozs of food and that's it. I have been very tired lately and my weight loss hasn't moved. I seriously think I am not getting in enough calories. I have almost no interest in food, I literally have to make myself eat. I hate food these days. Is anyone here on Slim Fast as just something to give you some additional calories to add to what you are eating? I do eat 3 times a day even if I don't want to. I've decided to count calories to make sure I am getting enough to see how I feel and if I keep losing weight. Thanks.

I am just curious to the number of banded couples here. My hubby is getting banded on the 16th.

Have a recommendation for self-pay in Dallas/Ft Worth area?
MsButterKup23 replied to JanetC's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
I too was banded by Dr. Powell back in August 2004, I had my surgery at Renaissance Hospital. We were so impressed with him that my hubby got banded by him last Monday at SCOR. He is a very cautious doctor that listens to you. I'm not sure on self pay but I know he has financing options, I've seen the brochures. www.weightnot.net is his website. Let me know if I can answer any questions about him and his wonderful staff. -
I just looked into it and it's made with milk. I am lactose intolerant and would feel like I would explode. Does anyone know of something w/o milk?

I don't know if this would help, but check out www.creditboards.com they might be able to steer you in the right direction as far as your credit and loans go. Best of luck to you!
