Your husband says to you with a devilish look "Your breasts and you have been very distracting lately" -
My doctor suggested not going back to caffeinated again. At first I was sad but I have really not missed it. I drink decaf coffee and tea. I am six months post op. I did accidentally have ice tea about a month ago, and a few sips did not upset my stomach but i got a horrible headache. I think I am going to stay away from the caffeine. Good luck to you.

You know you lost weight when
IzzyBelle replied to Thomas CPA's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
When for the first time in your life you weight less than your husband. I am 7 lbs away from being smaller than him for the first time ever since we started dating. OMG!!!!!!!!! -
Hello everyone, I have passed one of my major goal: Weight less than 300! I promised myself after hitting this goal i would fix my bike and start going on fun bike rides. I am now having a hard time making smaller goals. My next would be to be under 200 but it seems a bit large, like it might take a long time and i might get discouraged. What were some of your minor goals, perhaps I can get inspiration from them. Also what were some of your rewards when you hit your goals? Thanks everyone. -Izzybelle

I flew today and did not need a seat belt extender. I sat next to two men and I was not super cramped. It was glorious!

I believe at my highest weight I was 405. I was really sick and my CEO was very concerned and he paid for me to see a nutritionist in San Francisco.. I was so humbled that a non family member cared so much about my health. Before I saw the nutritionist I got really sick with pneumonia and it had been my experience that i tended to lose 10lbs when I get that sick. So after the sickness I went to see the nutritionist and my weight was 395lbs. I was in shock when i realized that I was probably 405lbs. Now I am 100lbs lighter thanks to the nutritionist i lost 50 but put gained weight back to 383lbs before i started to seriously work on my sleeve surgery. I am so happy for both the nutritionist which helped me learn a lot about food and helped me start to deal with all those mind issues regarding food. I am so happy with my sleeve, and this new journey I know I can get to may goal of 170! I have a long road but an optimistic road. So please Celebrate my unofficial 100lb loss. I am sharing a picture around 380lbs, and a more recent one around 315.

Are you really happy post sleevers?
IzzyBelle replied to Goddardgo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have just started this journey and I am really happy. I can start to think and plan and do things that I would not before, because I was in pain, tired, or just because i knew i could not with my weight. It is not an easy path but i am so happy i did it. I can't wait to see what else it will bring. I also agree that as i shed the weight i am also shedding other parts of my life i see need changing. It is great. Good luck, stay strong, you will doubt and worry but if you feel this is what you need trust yourself. -
I didn't even realize I did not walk sideways either. And I was thinking can't wait until I can use the tray table. Thank you everyone for your support.

Ah yes this sounds familiar. I was a wreck anything would make me cry or make me furious. My first period was bad but it has gotten better. I was told by my doctor that fat cells store estrogen and as your fat melts the estrogen comes out and causes mood changes. Well it did to me. But it goes down and gets easier to manage, I am 3 1/2 months post op and feeling fairly normal. Don't worry you will be ok. Let your self feel what you are feeling. This will pass Good luck on your journey its going to be amazing!

Hello wonderful community, it has been a while since i have participated. I had my sleeve on February 4th, I am healing well, and doing well overall. My weight loss is slow but steady. I have been focusing on my new eating habits, exercise program and staying connected to my husband who i see less and less these days. I have been feeling a bit lost and angry, my coworkers and friends don't know what i am going through how hard it is to not drink liquids with meals, how sad it can be to go out to dinner and know that i eat a 10th of what they will and that it will make them uncomfortable. How hard it is to be afraid that at some point i might lose control and find that i will gain weight. How its difficult to not recognize my body in a mirror. This journey is not easy and i doing it, and i want to know how yours is. I am here to reconnect to this community, I am a bit lost please say hello and share some of your journey. PS. I know I sound a bit lost but honestly overall i am doing great, it's just hard.

36-Female-No kids looking for a buddy. Surgery 2/4/14
IzzyBelle posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hello I go by Izzy, I am 36 married with no children. I just had my surgery and could use a buddy to learn and share my upcoming experiences. -
Hello everyone I had my sleeve done on 2/4/14, After about 3 weeks i noticed i was not getting enough liquids. I felt like it took forever to drink and I was barely getting 6 cups of Fluid in, and doctor recommended 7-8. I see a therapyst who is helping me deal with all of this. I brought this up and she gave me a great tip, and its working really well. She said: Take small sips, when you feel thirsty the first time take one small sip The next time you are thirsty take 2 small sips Then 3 Then 4 and so on until you feel full. Make sure they are small sips, and this way you will be able to recognize when you are full, with out pain, and will be able to get more fluid in. This was so helpful, i had to write to all to let you know. If it helped me I hope it can help others. Good luck to all, we are all amazing for doing this. -IzzyBelle

My first gift to myself - potted roses
IzzyBelle posted a topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Monday was the first time I drove since my surgery on the 4th of February. I was nervous first to drive and second because i was going to the grocery store by myself. Well as I made a right turn I noticed something odd my stomach was no longer touching the steering wheel! I started to cry of joy, I could not believe this new feeling, and then I realized that where my seat belt buckles was not stabbing me on the side of the thigh, more tears came. I was so happy I wanted a reward and my brain thought of food. I still have this addiction to treat my emotions with food. When I got to the grocery store i parked as far as I could to give me time to prepare for my first alone grocery trip. During the walk I decided I do need a reward and I though flowers would be so lovely. So the first thing i picked up was my plant of choice, then the items i needed. Yes I had temptations and yes i wished I could still eat some things but I did not give in and was very thankful for my sleeve and the start of my new healthier life. Thank you all for your support through my journey and I recommend stopping and getting yourself flowers to Celebrate your many achievements, it feels amazing! -IzzyBelle -
I four weeks post surgery. A friend has invited us to her birthday party this weekend. This has caused a great deal of anxiety for me. I am slow to change and all the changes so far have been for the good but not easy. I really was not thinking of having to deal with a party so soon. I would be more comfortable if it was after I was on my last stage of eating where i get to have small portions of normal food items. Well this friend would understand if I do not go but i really like her and wish i could be there but there will be a lot of people, and food, and CAKE!!!! Oh my is that my weak point. So i wanted to ask other here, when did you go to your first party and how did deal with it? Thank you all for your support. -IzzyBelle
