My mom is less on board with my surgery than id like, my sister also. Ive been trying to prepare for the next 3 weeks(surgery is May 5) and I have to stay with my mom after surgery. They are saying, you dont have to do this now, you can wait ... its so permanent...I always back down but I really want this... I had lapband I messed it up. I am trying to learn from my mistakes.. I think shes freaked out because its so permanent. I take alot of meds and shes concerned once I do it will I be able to handle it. Her anxiety is making me question my decision.. Responses would be greatly appreciated... thanks

How do they remove the band? Before or at the sleeve operation? Would love to hear different views. Thanks

Hey all.. I have New york medicaid and medicare. I had lapband in Sept 2010'. It didnt really work out. I am trying for the sleeve does anyone know how medicare treats 2nd surgeries? My bar office seemed to think I woild get cleared but that wont be for another month. The anticipation is making me mad! Does anyone know if medi,/medi coverca second wls? Any contributions are appreciated!

Its hard... as I was trying to get in a better frame of mind im trying toveat better. I cant use food to cope. Its not my friend anymore. You have to figure out whatvto do with those feelings. Im not really down with feeling them. Most of the time ivwant to run but I hear you.. im with you

Hey y'all im going for my psych clearance march 17. Very nervous. I am revising from lapband. I am afraid shell say no. I have made a 360. I quit smoking, I just finished a course at BOCES, I am exercising every day, eating small portions. Except I struggled with the lapband. And I have emotional issues to boot. She saw me at the worst at my lapband. What uf she thinks I cant do it? How can I convey to her that I have made changes, im stable, and not tell me to use my band(cause I dont think its working) thanks in advance for responses greatly appreciated

Im not saying im freaking out. I guess once its gone its gone forever. I firgot to say im a revision patient. I had lapband before. I guess the fact that the grehlin will be lessened will be worth it.

Sorry im technically spazzing out...lol. hi! Im new here. My name is Mary. I just had a question for all you pre and sleevers out there I ve been thinking about the sleeve alot and theres one thing that kind of irks me about it. That they cut away part of your stomach. I dont knowvwhat abou that triggers me but it makes me feel uncomfortable. My therapist is having me write about it... like is it a piece of me I am losing? I was just wondering if anyone had any simikar experience.. thanks for the feedback!
