I now have a hiatal hernia 3.5 years after sleeve op. I've thought about converting, but think I might just have hernia repaired. I'm worried about malabsorption

I'm about 3.5 years past sleeve surgery and I still have to take protantazole and Zantac. Went back to doctor and I have developed a hiatal hernia. I'm going to have it surgically repaired. Bring on the PPIs for so long has caused me to experience side effects. There are studies that show prolong usage can cause drug induced lupus https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4914530/

I'm natural so I notice the shedding, but no one else did. I too wear wigs. My edges still concern me though. My incisions are almost non existing. My surgeon was good as well. I need to gain more muscle because my thighs are no where as near toned as they used to be. I still won't wear shorts.

Have you asked your Dr about the Stretta procedure? I'm told it was originated for sleevers with chronic GERD. I'm actually going back to my doctor for and endoscopy to see if i'm a candidate. My Dr suspects I have a hiatal hernia. This GERD is kicking my ass. I'm 3 years out.
