Hi, count me in - I am in Corinth, just south of Denton. My mom (from Coppell) and I were both banded this month by Dr. Powell at SCOR. My S-I-L lives in Princeton and she is working with her Insurance Co. also to find out if they cover it so she can get a surgery date. My surgery was last Thurday 6/23, I rested all weekend and really I feel pretty good today. My husband and I have our own A/C & HTG business in Coppell/Lewisville area and I went into the office today and worked all day (it helps when your husband is your boss) anyway I am little tired now and am having a real time with this liquad stage, especially tonight, I am hungry. How did you girls get through this? Debi

DeLarla - I am new to this site and really enjoyed the tread you started. I am also computer stupid and don't know how to start a new thread. I noticed as I was going through these pictures there are a lot of Lady Motorcycle Riders and was wondering just how many lady riders we did have and if they rode there own or on the bike of the bike. My husband and I both ride and we have some friends just like yours, maybe its a biker thing - Bikers and Cheetos Could you tell me how to start with this.

Pamela, how are you feeling today? I also was banded 6/23 by Dr. Powell. I feel a little better today. I am still a little gas-y but feel so much better than 48 hours ago. The pain is so much better. Havent had any pain meds today at all.

My Mom and I are both using Dr. Powell. We had our pre-op last week. She is schedfule for June 7 (her name on here is Dixie) and I am scheduled for June 20. Have you seen him yet?

You girls just crack me up. I feel the same way. We (my husband and I) ride Harleys and just got back from the Texas State Hog rally in Corpus Christi. The skinny bitches were every where. Harley makes very little "womens" clothing. They make some of the cutest things for skinny people and I cant wait to be able to walk into a Harley store and buy some of it. All weekend I just kept telling myself - Next year I will be there and be a skinny bitch, which is o.k., with me.

I to am from Corinth, TX just North of Lewisville and know exactly where Justin is. I can hear the Race track from my backyard. Big Race Fan and Harley Davidson Fan. My husband and I both ride. I have a consultation appt with Dr. Powell June 18 and so hope I can get this done. Good Luck and if you get together let me know.

Denise, I wish you and your daughter the best of luck. My mom and I are also looking into getting the band. We have our Dr.s appt 5/18/05 and are very excited about beginning this process. Are you and your daughter going to do it together? We have thought about having it done like a week apart so we could help each other out. Stay in touch and let us know how it goes.

Ok you have my full attention now. I am new to this site and have mostly just been sitting in the background reading and reseaching all the general discussions on this site. My mother and I have an apointment next week with Dr. Powell (Dallas) to start our lap-band experience. This discussion really got my attention as I also ride a Harley with my husband. We are both members of the American Eagle Chapter and the North Texas Chapter. Although we are more active with NTHD we live close to American Eagle. We did not get to go to the Party on Saturday because I was working the North Texas Chapter Poker Run. There was a large group of Eagles that left the party early and ran our poker run. Were you with that group? I have read alot of stuff on this site but would really like to meet someone in person that has had the lap band procedure done. I don't know why, just would like to put a face with a conversation. Everybody seems so friendly and happy here I am sure I will be spending alot of time here as I continue down the lap-banded path.
