Coming home to an empty house after surgery...
tnpeach replied to Beth Pets's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You will do fine. I had a friend bring me home. They stayed for a little while then left. Just make sure you have water beside where you will be. Do the dogs go out on their own or you walk them. Walking is good but don't over do it the first couple days or have them pull you. -

I would probably pick your favorite. Definitely stay away from the hollandaise sauce, corn and chips. YOu are on soft foods right? -

You should be so proud. You look amazing. -
I did nothing before I had VGS. It is 6 weeks today. I am now able to walk about 1/2 a mile before I go to work. I would have never thought of that before. I also have a bad back. My thought is anything is better than nothing. Actually I do feel better. Hopefully my walk will get longer as time goes on. Good Luck You can do it.

I was off for 2 weeks. I really could have gone back a little sooner. I will say I was very tired for a good 3 weeks.

Scared, Excited, and all feelings in between
tnpeach replied to bullymama's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You will be fine. I can understand the concern. I was a lucky one and the surgary was not bad at all. I felt almost like normal by 2 1/2 week. Mainly the food portions will be changed. I know before I had surgery I had all the same emotions. Excited scared. I have not had wine yet. My dr wants me to hold off for at least 6 months or longer. Hang in there. This is a great tool. -
It is better to know these things now and when it's too late. I'm sure you really didn't want to hear that news but if you think about it it could be saving your life. Hang in there this too will pass. Good luck.

Congrats. Wonderful news.

5 weeks and cant stand anything.
tnpeach replied to Zane's Mom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 5 weeks out. I have never been nauseous. I have not had trouble with any soft food. The only think I have trouble with is Water. Food goes down fine ( I almost wish it didn't. I feel like I am eating too much.) But water feels like it gets stuck. Go figure. I am having trouble getting all of my water in.
