    stretching my pouch?

If you are just out of surgery, you won't have restriction until you get a fill. If you aren't filled enough, then you'll experience being able to eat more. Until you can get to the doctor to get a proper fill, the best thing to do is volumize your food. Eat your 3 oz chicken on a bed of lettuce. Go back to the ol' Weight Watcher's diet or South Beach until you can get back on the Lap Band diet. I think this is vey confusing at first... having to alter your diet like this, but as restriction increases and decreases, diet must be altered as well. It will keep you sane. If you have no restriction, being on a Bandster diet is just utter HELL!

Who have you had enough of ??

Brittany. I feel sorry for her. I hate that people are all up on her jock. Not fair.

    Pain after a fill

Chewing could be a road-block. Make sure you are chewing well, so the food is almost liquid in your mouth b4 swallowing. That's all I can think of... other than you may be too tight and need an unfill.

    Need to know more

There is a support group on this site for age ranges, you can find yours there. As for your questions, they are very open-ended. You'll have to take it a day at a time. Period. Do your research and you'll be fine. This isn't about counting calories, Fiber grams, etc... It's about portion control. I haven't counted a single calorie and I've lost 53 pounds since Aug 27th. It works. You'll be fine.

    Parents & Other Relatives

Oh girl! Are we related? Haha... Ya know, I did hear a good one the other day that you might be interested in. Somebody told me that a combination of diet & excercise will help you lose weight! I never heard that. Thought I'd pass on those words of wisdom... ;')

I gained 8 pounds from surgery

It could be from salt! Chicken Bullion maybe??? Don't worry, the LB's will start falling off...
  8. I have lots of questions. Mainly to see if I am on track or not. 1. How much weight do/did you need to lose? 2. How many months/years since your surgery? 3. How much have you lost? 4. How many fills have you had? 5. Have you ever been over-filled? 6. Are you happy with your band? 7. Have you recommended this surgery to anybody you know, and then they went through with it? 8. Have you lost friends because you've lost weight? 9. Have you recieved a promotion at work since your banding date? 10. Have you had more sex since your banding date? 11. If you had to do it again would you? 12. Add another question for others......................

    question

I heard that if you band slips, YOU'LL KNOW! You wont be able to eat anything, lots of pain, etc. I heard that if you think this has happened, go back to liquids for 3 days to see if it can correct itself.
  10. try increasing your calorie intake. You're working out so much that your body is hangin' onto every last calorie. Try increasing by 100-200 the first week and see what happens. You may need to adjust up to 500 or even 600 per day!

    Bathroom Scales

I asked the same thing about 1 month post surgery, on this site! I got a great recommondation and I love my scale! At WalMart, buy the Weight Watchers brand scale. Very accurate! I love it.

Got unfill now I am starving!

I have a 4cc band. My first fill was somewhere between 1.0 and 1.5, my second fill was 2.3. I am FULL. TOO FULL. and I am going for an unfill tomorrow (all the way to Mexico!) ~ I can't even drink Water. I am scared they are going to take out too much... or not enough. I think I'm going to ask that they take out 1.0... seems about right. This is frustrating for sheezy.

Please help me with fill problem

I'm in the same boat! I've had about 6 oz of Clear Liquids today and I don't even think that is going down, but maybe being absorbed by the upper stomach on top of the stoma. I was told to drink warm liquids only. No cold stuff. Warm Water, tea, coffee, broth,,,, but its hard. I had my fill Sat in Mexico (im from northern cali) I am flying out tomorrow for an unfill. I am miserable. what I would do for a glass of water! damn it! Hope I feel the same instant relief you did.

    Anyone filled completely?

I think I am at 4ccs in a 4cc band. I had my 2nd fill 2 days ago.... I am too tight and will be going back for an unfill tomorrow!
  19. I had a fill 2 days ago and I am way too tight. I can't even keep Water down. I am drinking tea right now, and drank about 2 oz. I can feel it sitting on top of the stoma. Within time, I will throw it up. I threw up white foam last night twice. (And my new boyfriend stayed over for the first time. How embarrassing!) ~ He was very supportive though. Thank god! I think I may have to go back tomorrow, to Mexico, for an unfill. I'm also kinda pissed off cause the doc filled me with 2.3. That's a lot for a 4cc band. She said its 'full'. I'm not too happy about that.

August Bandsters How are you Doing So Far

Dear Pigs Are Flying... Looks like we are kind of at the same spot. (with weight loss and surgery dates) ~~~~~ I just had my 2nd fill, and my band is full. I can only sip clear liquids. Let me know how your next fill goes! Looks like you are doing great anyway!
  21. Thanks for posting this. My 2nd fill was yesterday and I can only sip Water. I was starting to get a little freaked out. I can actually feel the tightness at the band site. Is that normal? I too will wait a few weeks before deciding if I need to get an unfill. I hope I don't get dehydrated. QUESTION; How long did you stay on Clear Liquids b4 moving onto all liquids. I'd like to down a Protein drink right now, but can't. I need the energy! Darn it. I'm on my way to GNC for the 50 Gram Slam drink, for when I'm ready! Dana

    Spanking

I think that inflicting pain on an inicent child is child abuse. The people that hit their kids don't have the knowledge/education to discipline their children responsibly. We need to do more to teach parents how to discipline properly. I'd never hit my child, but time outs work well.

    labor with the band?

Thanks for posting this. I am a little more than 1/2 way to my goal and would like to get pregnant when I am at goal. I also thought about a C-section. I am planning on a tummy tuck too, so maybe a C-section is the way to go! No more Blow-Out Vagina! haha... If I were you, I'd definately get an unfill! Just to be on the safe side. You are going to gain weight no matter what. You already have the tools to get back on track after the baby is here. You'll be fine. Who was your doctor?
