    3 week stall. Ugh

Same story here! I'm in week 3 and the scale hasn't moved at all but my clothes fit loose. I can take of my size 18 pants without unbuttoning them! Hang in there it is frustrating but I think it is normal and will hopefully be over soon!
  4. On puree's I ate mostly greek yogurt lots of protein there, cottage cheese, sugar free pudding and Jello, Protein shakes and scrambled eggs of course. I did try some flakey fish towards the end of my puree stage and chewed it like it was nobody's business lol. It went down fine. My NUT just says to be mindful of my Water intake, don't miss any Vitamin dose and try to get protein in, she said there is no way with my tiny tummy I could expect to meet hard and fast goals at this point. So far so good!
  5. Hi Zoumommy, I was also sleeved on 2/3, so I am no expert by far, but have experienced what you are talking about. I try not to be too hard on myself as I am only a bit over 3 weeks out and have found this new way of eating to be a HUGE learning process. I am on soft foods, every surgeon is different re: post op diets, but I find that if I wait too long to eat then I will not chew my food enough because I am hungry and then it will hurt. Just consider it a lesson learned. Also, I have found this week I am hungry all of the time! I am PMS'ing (sorry tmi) so I think that is not helping. Even when I eat until satisfied, I find that I am hungry shortly after, which hasn't happened before. Maybe it's a 3 week post op thing? As our tummies heals, they start wondering where all the food went? Good luck to you!
  6. Congrats! Can't wait to be there too!

    Full question

I also feel it almost backing up by my sternum. But I have read on here some people get hiccups and others sneeze. I guess it's about getting in tune with your body and it's cues.
  8. I know how you feel! It was amazing to me to get on the scale and see I had dropped one or two pounds in a day! Just crazy! Glad you are doing well and good luck!
  9. I was on a low dose of Valsartan (generic for hydrodiovan) prior to surgery. After surgery i was prescribed just Diovan, so no Water pill, because we are easily dehydrated. I go in to see my cardiologist in two weeks. I hope to be off this med entirely soon, but I think it will take a while, considering I have been on it for 7 years. Good luck!
  10. I'm only 18 days out but I wished I would have known that because I suffer from motion sickness and had morning sickness I was more likely to experience nausea after surgery. I've had plenty of surgeries before and never had a problem with anaesthesia, so it never crossed my mind that I would be vomiting that white froth stuff on day 2. It hurt a lot but by day 3 I felt so much better and have not had any more nausea! I wish I would have really believed everyone when they said walking would help with the gas pains, it really did so walk as much as you can after surgery. I wish I would have known that the common cold I caught would set my recovery back a few days, I thought I would be back to work after 2 weeks, but a few sneezing fits had my abdomen so sore all over again. If you feel the urge to sneeze or cough grab a pillow and brace yourself. And last, I'm a mom of 4, I rarely do anything just for me. I struggled with this decision thinking it was kind of selfish, but I am so happy and proud of myself for doing it and taking steps to get my weight in check. In the long run, my kids will benefit too!

    Guess what I can do!

    congrats! that is awesome!
  12. I have read here a lot that when you are not losing weight you are losing inches, maybe that is what is happening? It sounds like you are doing all the right things, keep it up!
  13. You look fantastic and your new BMI is awesome! Your hard work is paying off big time!

    Honey?

Thanks! Had a teaspoon of honey in my tea yesterday and today and it went down fine!
  16. I woke up this morning with a scratchy throat. I would love to have a cup of decaf tea with a teaspoon of honey, but honey is not on any of my lists. Do you think it would be ok? Tomorrow I will be 2 weeks post op and just started full liquid diet, thanks!

    New pic

    Congrats! You lool great!
  18. I was also sleeved on 2/3/14 and just started full liquids, but man am I tired of soups and broths!! I'm gonna try some sugar free pudding and cottage cheese tommorow.....so exciting lol! Also. I have tried so many protiens shakes and they all taste terrible, but I'm not sure what I can add to them to improve the taste? So frustrating and a waste of money!
  19. I feel ya! I'm on full liquid diet now almost 2 weeks post op and could barely get in 3 tea spoons of greek yogart, felt like I was going to burst! It's crazy and amazing all at once!

    Day of Surgery!

    Congrats and good luck!!
  22. My family knows and they are supportive for the most part. My mom occasionally tosses a snide comment my way, but that is the norm for her. As far as work I only told my boss because I consider her a great friend and a very close coworker. Everyone else can just think I'm on 2 weeks vacation. Even HR does not need to know, as long as I get clearance to be out and return. If anyone works up the nerve to ask tell them you had "lady issues" lol watch them turn beet red and walk away!
  23. Hi all, my very first post! Found this forum while doing some online research for the sleeve, have been getting so much useful information. I was sleeved on February 3rd, so far so good. Day 2 was by far the worst due to nausea, but that is all over now. I am able to get most of my liquids in, Protein Shakes, even some sf Jello. Everyday I feel a bit better, which is great. But I am still so bloated. I know they fill the abdomen with air for laparoscopic surgery and I am only a few days out, but when did you feel this subsided for you? Honestly, I look like I am pregnant again! I asked the dr about gas x but he said just try walking? Thanks!
