Prayers for all the March 3 sleevers! May you have a quick recovery!

I'm watching the food network too! That's all I watch. Lol. Thanks for explaining the reason. I have seen where many people are going and I never asked why. I'm blessed that my insurance will cover it. I'm glad there's a place to go to get it done if insurance doesn't though. I'm on day 6 of my 10 day....I've slipped and had meltdowns but learned that I just have to get back on track.

I am having my surgery on March 5th in Mexico.. Getting excited and nervous!!
I've been noticing that a lot of people are going to Mexico to have the surgery. Why is that?
How are you doing with your diet?

How is everyone handling the nerves? I was having a full blown anxiety attack on Tuesday when he gave me my date of next week. In fact my blood pressure was up, and when the surgeon listened to my heart he commented on how fast it was going. Then I made the mistake of going straight to the lab to get my bloodwork done and of course my WBC was high! I guess mental stress can raise it. Anyway, main point is that I am feeling much more at peace. I am soo ready for Wednesday. Just wish it would get here already so that it can be done and over with!
My nervous were shot on Wednesday. I had a complete meltdown. I walked out of Walmart and into the smells of the various restaurants. I almost went twice but knew that would be a mistake. So in turn I cried all the way to church.
I've been on full liquids since Sunday. Someone mentioned being allowed to have a piece of Protein and a little salad. That would be great! But I guess will follow and and enjoy my doctors orders! I've leaned you have to push through this feeling just like with exercise. Good luck!!

Well tomorrow is the day I get started on my liquid diet. I am so worried that I'm going to be starving and ill. I don't want to be grazing on sugar free Jello and Popsicles all the time. I've got to find something to keep my mind off of the hunger. I've heard that the first 48 hours is the worse. Any suggestions on how to get through it?

My pre-op diet is at least 4 Protein Shakes a day, and of course Water. I can have sugar free Jello and Popsicles, chicken/beef/vegetable broth, and v8.

I had pre-op yesterday. I begin my liquid diet on Sunday! I believe after I get through the first 48 hours I'll be fine. I was also excited to find out that I'm the first of three on that day! Glad I'm not last!!

Add me to the list. My date is March 5! I'm excited times 2!!

Have anyone tried EAS AdvantEdge from Wal-Mart?
This is the Protein Shake that I am using. I like it because it's not thick. I got the chocolate fudge, French vanilla and the strawberry. I've only tried the chocolate fudge so far.

Yes I agree. I've got all these different combinations for shakes. Thanks and good luck to you as well!

I am so happy to have found this app! This can be a scary process. I have a great support system but it's good to "hear" from people in my situation. The pre-op part that worries me the most is the liquid diet 10 days beforehand. But I can't wait to begin this new journey!
March 19th :)
