Ugh, still feel hungry!
StephanieWinters replied to wwled's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I actually misspoke...it is Dymatize Iso 100 protein powder. I got mine at The Vitamin Shoppe but you should be able to find it at any health/nutrition store. I tried the Premiere Protein shake today and it isn't bad. It has 30g of protein. I'm actually hoping to find a different flavor besides chocolate. -
New to Group- Sleeved 2/4/14
StephanieWinters replied to MichaelM's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi Michael! I was sleeved on 2/4 also and have lost 24 lbs (including preop weight loss). I started walking on Saturday and am doing 1 mile in the morning and 1 mile on the evening. I felt light-headed for the first time yesterday afternoon. Not sure why. I am taking blood pressure meds so if it continues I will get in to see my doc. I'm ready to be off my meds! Congrats on your progress! -

I actually just bought some Premiere Protein last night! I will try it today! When I can eat soft foods I will definitely try the plain Greek yogurt in place of sour cream. Thank you for the tips! -

I won't lie...it's not a chocolate milkshake, but it is tolerable. Especially since the shake is only 6 oz. it is easier to get a lot of protein in a small amount of liquid. -

I agree that the protein shakes are not great. I've been making myself drink 2 of the isopure dymatize chocolate shakes with skim milk and a couple drops of almond extract twice a day and that gives me 66g of protein In a small amount...one scoop of the chocolate protein powder, 8 oz skim milk and almond extract. I mix it in the bullet so it is creamy. I'm going to get some banana extract today to try. -

I was debating trying potato soup but thought it may be too thick. broth and sour cream sounds interesting. Did you use chicken broth? If I get my 60g Protein in today then I will give the potato soup a try! -
I think mine is head hunger. I have noticed that most of the commercials on TV are about food! It makes me not want to watch TV. I never realized this before. I wish they would not allow food commercials like they do cigarette commercials! No wonder there are so many overweight people.

New to the community!
StephanieWinters replied to jlavenski's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi jlavenski! I'm in the Dallas area and just had my sleeve this past Tuesday. Sounds like you are making awesome progress! I've only lost 5 lbs since surgery (21 including the preop period). I'm trying to stay motivated but think I'm hungry most of the time. -

No I haven't pooped! I plan on getting something to make it happen today since it is day 5 without it. I was planning on going back to work tomorrow but think I may take a few more days. -
I can't wait to be off liquids so I can try your retried bean, enchilada sauce and cheese meal! I feel like I'm starving! I thought I wouldn't be hungry after surgery???

Ugh, still feel hungry!

Yes, the rumbling feeling is getting old. I've been up a lot and even walked a mile today. I think I will be sorry tomorrow cause my left side under my boob is killing me...it is so tight it hurts to take a deep breath. This hunger needs to go away! -

I'm taking gas x strips. The most helpful thing is walking. Unfortunately it hurts to burp, but you have to in order to get the gas out. -

I just had my surgery this past Tuesday, Feb 4. I feel like I am starving! After reading about it I'm wondering if it is gas or real hunger? I know when I drink my protein, my "pouch" feels full...like my chest is going to explode. Is this how you feel? -

I just had my sleeve this past Tuesday, Feb 4. I spent one night in the hospital. The worst part so far has been the gas pains...especially in my left shoulder.
