Dr. Petrick in Geisinger Danville anyone?
wolfkrz replied to wolfkrz's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Hi there. Unfortunately my only experience with the GI Nutrition dept at Danville was for one visit which was my first post-op. They were great though. I go thru the Wilkes-Barre clinic and of course the program is the same. They have schedules for labs, etc. they really seem to be on top of things. There are also support groups twice a month for pre and post op patients. I think you'll be just fine with Geisinger Danville. Good luck! -
Dr. Petrick in Geisinger Danville anyone?

Dr Petrick is the head of the bariatric surgery dept in Danville. I've been working with the GI/Nutrition in Wilkes Barre. Started my process in January and just had lap RNY on July 17th. I had surgery in Danville. I've heard of your surgeon-he was one of the choices I had. I, too, drive 2 hours to get to Danville. Totally worth it though! Good luck! -

I'm on day 4 of the 14 day liquid diet. I'm surprised that it's not as bad as I thought. However, I'm allowed 3 shakes a day, 2-3 snacks which are non-fat yogurt (reg or Greek), low fat cream soups (8oz), sf pudding (4oz), sf hot cocoa and unlimited sf jello, broth or boullion, v8 and 2-3 sf Popsicles daily. Along with my 64 oz of fluids. Just 3 shakes I'd be starved! I feel for you!!! Good luck!

did anyone have a food funeral?
wolfkrz replied to jtickle's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am having the dilemma with watching what I'm eating vs is it really worth it? We are going on vacation in June and all I keep thinking about are the places that I love to eat! My 6th month of the 6 month diet is June. So, of course, I don't want to go nuts. However, at the same time I am quite certain that my willpower may have some faults that week. Sometimes it's so hard to say no. I'm thinking moderation is the key. A couple bites will ease the craving but not kill my weight loss. No more larges for me!
