You don't sound stupid! I've been scared to get more surgery it's normal we got screwed with the band and are worried about the outcome of another surgery! If I were you I would go RNY... For two reasons... You having diabetes RNY helps it and from what I heared the sleeve doesn't and two because I hear of a lot of people going from sleeve to bypass! I hear the sleeve doesn't lose as much, I'm scared about the issues it could cause but I know if I don't do it I won't live long enough to see my daughter grow up and I am 325 lbs right now I need to get down to a healthier size and for me that means surgery to RNY. I had the lapband 5 years ago it slipped at some point had surgery to fix it, about 6 months ago I had surgery to remove it. My surgeon didn't do revisions in one surgery she liked to allow your insides to heal... I've ballooned back to my starting weight. I am looking into doing gastric bypass but so very scared of complications that could arise I know surgery is always a risk but already having 3 surgeries due to the Crapband, I am worried about all the scar tissue or issues that could arise... I have an almost 2 year old that I need to be here for =( please tell me someone else has had multiple surgeries and came out fine and still is fine!

My bmi right now is like 53 so I don't need any comorbids I just hope they don't take my chance to get healthy with the right tool away

Wow I see why! I would not go go someone like that. So I definately will do some asking as to how many they have done and issues after ect

Hello all! I had the lapband 5 yeas ago, it slipped due to being to tight, had surgery to correct it then about 6 months ago I had it removed... I am starting my journey to get gastric bypass. I am a little worried about scar tissue and issues with bypass because of if... Has anyone revised and been okay ? Any issues due to scar tissue ? This is all if my insurance approves for revision.

I was wondering if anyone had any issues with insurance going from one bariatric surgery to another, I had the Lapband it slipped, (not from me over eating) I had it taken out about 6 months ago and looking to get gastric bypass... I'm worried my insurance won't approve me... Anyone have any insight? I am on my mothers insurance (I'm 24) and I also have Medicaid her insurance is Anthem Blue Cross Blue Sheild HMO Blue New England and we are from New Hampshire.. I know it depends on the individuals plan but I just wanted to see others issues or success...
