I am 6 weeks post op. Down 35lbs. Very happy with that! My issue is my stomach feels bloated all the time. I don't know if it's what I'm eating or something else. Anyone else having issues with this?

Traveling & vacationing with your sleeve
katierichie replied to mooncat's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am 5 weeks out have been doing great down 34lbs. I am on my yearly girls weekend right now. I am disappointed in myself I hv had a few cocktails... I've been eating good foods but I'm testing my pouch. I tried some veggies off the veggie tray which agreed with me, had some dip also . Even though I am having a great time can't wait to get home. I'm not ready for these challenges. I did bring my own food and have used some of it. Anyway it's sounds like your doing great and keep up the good work! -
I have been buying the optifast products. I enjoy the tomatoe soup. Besides ordering on line... Is there other soup options with high protein?

It's seems my stomach holds more than I thought. 10 days post op

I have not felt any discomfort at all. I'm sticking to the liquid diet, but it seems my stomach holds a lot. I can make a can of chicken noodle soup, strain the noodles and it leaves a large mug of broth which goes down easily. No upset. Anyone else feel their stomach is surprisingly holding more than expected? -
How did u prepare the ricotta and sauce?

Had my sleeve on wed the 12th. My instructions were clear liquids the first week. Jello the second week. Maybe that's to much for you. I'm up to 8oz of the Optifast Protein Drink. I drink it 2oz at a time. Crystal light and Water. So far so good. I'm not pushing it

This is what conflicts me:) What could I use to fill the other 2 days worth of food? He gave me opti fast 4 shake/2bar per day. I don't want to drive back to his office.....it's quite a way. Go to GNC... They will help you. My surgery is February 12 I fell off the wagon twice... I feel guilty. Does food hv that much power over me?! Yes it does! I hv 3 days shakes. 4th day Clear liquids. I WILL DO THIS! -
