I am one month out and I am eating meals, with two or three light meals, either pudding with protein powder, a protein shake, glass of milk with or without no sugar added instant breakfast, depending on my protein needs for the day. I try to keep something every few hours only because I can't get it all in with three meals.

By the way when was your surgery? Mine was the 24th.

I am four weeks out too and I love the Morningstar patty, or sausage link for breakfast. I have wanted to add onion or pickle to my chicken salad, but I am refraining because my nutritionist said only soft foods I can cut easily with a fork. I figure I only have a few more weeks till I can try it without worrying. Good luck.

I just put 1oz. (or two Tbs). rotisserie chicken in my food processor with some Greek yogurt guacamole from Costco, and a smudge of salsa. Let it purée down. It was so good after just beans and soup purée. Plus good protein source. I am three weeks and a few days out. -
feb 2013 sleevers weigh in

I think this is the dreaded three week stall. I just try to remember that my body need this time to adjust, it helps me not to fixate on the scale. Trying to up my water, and I walk 40-60 mins a day. So far I had to loose 10lbs. pre-op, lost 15 on liquid pre-op, and 19 since surgery on 2/24. The scale has been stalled for a while now, but I have never lost 44lbs this quickly. -
I was sleeved on the 24th of Feb. I am so sorry you had such a big change at the last second and didn't know until after surgery. I am glad you are happy with the results though. Best wishes!

CrazyJaney, I did 4 days (in the hospital) of clears liquid, two full weeks of full liquids, and a couple days of trying yogurt and puréed cottage cheese etc. I really am a rule girl. Even with the ricotta bake I let it cool slightly then purée it so the mozzarella isn't too stringy. I made two soups before surgery and froze them, a lentil and black bean. They purée nicely and have protein and fiber. I really don't like canned food but the Hormel 98% fat free chili, mixed with the refried beans was great too. I got silicone ice cube trays at Target and they hold two tablespoons each. That way I can freeze the the leftovers in freezer bags. So many great ideas from all of you, thanks!!!

I just made the ricotta bake, so yummy! (Especially after the liquids.) Also I puréed refried beans and turkey chili. Good luck!

The blog is so funny! I was sleeved 2-24-14, and like everyone here, I can totally relate.

Heather, I just had surgery on 2/24 with Rehgrig. I love Dr. Rehrig, but it is my understanding he will be leaving to teach for a little while. I will say that I have heard nothing but good things about Dr. Whorlton in my group meetings. (She preformed surgeries on people iin my group.) I am glad it is over, and so happy I made this choice. I am down 43 lbs total and 33 since the liquid pre-op. Best wishes, let me know of you have any other questions.

No, I think it is pretty common. I am glad, you are feeling better! I took one of the pills (Zofran) this morning, and I have been fine today. Let's hope tomorrow is a good day for both of us.

I am not sure, but the same thing happened to me this morning. I am 14 days out today.

So I had my sleeve done and I se one of the residents at discharge. They said I was to take actual pills I am taking pain med, gallstone med, nexium, vitamin, stool softener, and zofran. I went home from the hospital yesterday afternoon, and have only managed the zofran (which melts under my tongue) and the pain med, which feels like it gets "stuck." Did anyone else come home on pills too?

Thanks so much. Most of the then, besides the pain pill and the gallbladder pill are fine, not too big. The gallbladder pill is the largest (horse pill) and they told me not to open it to put it in anything. Seriously I am afraid of it. I felt rough swallowing the pain pills, I don't know how to that is even going to work. I did put a call in to the office. Hopefully they will call soon. Thanks so much guys. I am feeling slightly overwhelmed. Can't wait to figure this process out.
