I take celebrex for mine. My dr. said it's fine as long as I make sure to drink a lot of water so that it goes through the band and doesn't sit in the pouch. I have lost a few more lbs. I did good over the holidays. I didn't gain anything. I think I finally have perfect restriction now. I can only eat a little bit, which is fine with me. I make sure to drink a protein drink every day so I get all my protein in.

I am glad you got your fill Marilyn. I agree that you should be happy to sneak up on the right spot. After Christmas, if you get more put in, you might not be able to eat more than a few bites or throw up. It's not fun to throw up in front of people or have to explain why you can't eat. I hope you have wonderful holidays and then get a fill and it's perfect.

Marilyn, A lot of people don't feel much restriction from their first fill. Just make sure you chew your food well. It's not fun to have food get stuck that won't go through the band after a fill. Call your doctor to see if he will let you come back sooner. A lot of doctors want to go at the fills slowly to see how you are doing and give you a chance to get used to it. Just try to eat Protein and veggies and not many carbs and you won't be as hungry, and should continue to lose until you can get another fill .

Where are all the bandsters in their 60's? I haven't seen any new posts on this thread lately. I am struggling to lose more weight. I think it will be easier after the holidays.

I have been doing my water aerobics classes faithfully and trying to do more walking outside. Weight loss is still very slow. I would rather have it come off slow and steady though than not come off at all. I think I am only down 2 lbs from last month. Weekends are hard when I am around more tempting foods. I try really hard to stick with the plan, cause the smallest amount of junk food will make me gain a few lbs that it has taken a month to take off. Onward I go!

The papaya tablets will help dissolve any food that is stuck. I find they really do work. I bought them at Walmart. I read about them on here, and someone told me Walmart carried them. They are by the vitamins and supplements. Papaya Enzyme tablets.

I went out to dinner with some friends tonight. It was really embarrassing. There didn't seem to be anything on the menu that I knew I could eat. I ended up ordering some soup and the chunks of vegetables were really big and not very well cooked. I ended up getting stuck and heading to the bathroom sliming. Luckily, I didn't throw up. I used the papaya tablets that I have read about on here. They got me unstuck, but I am sure everyone at the table thought I was strange. I just don't want to tell every single person I know about my band. Has everyone else told all their friends?

Thank you for the recipes. Where do you find this Greek yogurt? I don't remember ever seeing it in the store by the regular yogurt. I hope you will keep the recipes in this section. I don't have a computer so I use my daughter in law's when I come to visit. I don't like to over stay my welcome and stay on the computer the whole time, so I usually just come to this over 60's thread.

I would really like to see your recipes. I have a hard time coming up with things that are easy to fix. I live alone so I don't like to make things that take a lot of fussing.

I have been going up and down lately. I can't seem to go down and keep the scale going down some more. I know I don't need anymore fill. It's getting frustrating. One good thing though is I am down 55 lbs from when I started. I know I would be on my way up the scale without the band!

I have to say that since my 4th fill, I can't take pills nearly as easy as I could before. Right now I just take the most important ones. I can't take my calcium, they are too huge. I chew the chocolate calcium instead. I can't take my Flaxseed Oil capsules either. I used to take 9 pills or supplements every morning. I can't anymore. I have trouble at night too, getting the evening ones down. It's worth it though. I feel full all the time. I need to drink water, but sometimes I even feel too full, but I force myself. It's nice to see the scale going down again.

I take Celebrex. My doctor said I didn't need to stop taking it. In fact, he gave me a lot of samples and saved me a bunch of money. He just said to be sure to take it with a lot of Water so it didn't sit in the pouch. I take it in the morning with a huge glass of water, then I have Breakfast so that it's not on an empty stomach.
