Have you lost your "Wild Thang" urges?
Kelliebelly replied to Kelliebelly's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hey everyone, I just got back from the Drs and told her about it and suggested they check my hormones. She said that it wouldnt be an accurate reading as I am on the pill. The only thing she could think of is that because I am on the pill and I was bigger it didnt effect me as much but no that I have lost weight the stronger pill is giving me more side effects. At her suggestion I will discontinue the pill for a month or 2 and see how it goes. I am not having sex anyway so I cant get preggers. She has given me a form to get some things checked though, I am not sure what they are so Ill just type them and maybe someone will know- FBE, E/LFTs, ESR, TSH, Glucose(fasting) iron studies, B12 Folate. So is this means anything to anyone let me know please . I was kind of hoping to find out some exact answers and come away with something that will make it all better. I will give this pill thing a try and get these tests done and see how they go. She also asked me how does it feel when I think about sex, I told her it makes me sick. She said so you get physically sick thinking about it. I said no but close...:xena_banana: She suggested I talk to Paul and forbid sex for 1 month we are allowed to do everything else but have sex - she suggested we masturbate each other...sorry if that is TMI...I am sitting her thinking if I could be bothered masturbating him or me Id just have sex. Oh well back to the drawing board. Hopefully we will work something out. Thanks for all the suggestions...and I really like the name Duty f*&k vines...good one :Banane03: -

Kelliebelly replied to trish3700's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi Trish I am not really that close, I am about 2 hrs off Sydney in Newcastle. My other half is actually is Bathurst as we speak working away again...always away working *sigh* . As fir only losing 9kgs, thats 9kgs gone forever, and until you are properly restricted the band isnt really working its full potential for us. Proper restriction and a bit of exercise *like I can talk* and wahlahhhh you are on your way. Hope to see you around more. -
I have a dolphin on one ankle and a japanese symbol for love on the other with Pauls name under it. They never changed much with weight loss or gain, but I have always wanted to get one on my lower back...it is what I will reward myself with at goal. How beautiful its going to look when I am 90 hehe.

After seeing Heathergurls V day present to her hubby maybe I should be talking to her about my problem hehe -
Wow, what are you guys doing, since losing weight I have lost all but my libido. I feel like it if I am lucky once a month or so, much less than before I lost weight. I even went to the health food shop the other day and had a discreet look around to see if there was any natural type viagra for women I dont know whats wrong with me, but my other half sure isnt impressed...especially considering we are getting married in September and I know thats going to be one time I cant get out of *sigh* I think I will start my own thread of ideas or suggestions.

March 16th is when my body is going to be chopped to pieces and sewn back together again. I am excited but extremely scared. I have to go have some professional befores done and then the same after, plus he organises another appointment before hand to really explain that I know what I am getting myself into and the pain levels. I dont know whether to :clap2: or :cry :phanvan :think .

For Those Who Have Been Banded for about 1 Year
Kelliebelly replied to danaclark2's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi I have been banded 10 mths and have lost 62lbs, but could have been more if I exercised and skipped chocolate 3 times a week. -
I am not at max but I have the 10ml band and I have 9.6mls. It took me getting to this point to have decent lasting restriction. My Dr said the higher you get the less amount it takes to feel some restriction..ie If I had another fill maybe .3 or .4 would top me up whereas getting to this stage would take a fill of 2 or 3 mls to feel anything. I lso have a friend who has the same band she had her band topped up to 12mls 2 weeks ago and has restriction FINALLY...but still not the "sweet" spot. She has had tests and endos etc done and everything is fine...its just taking her longer. Good Luck

I used to be so ashamed of myself. I was always looking inward and judging myself more than anyone could ever judge me. I felt so much shame. Now, I feel pride. Pride is a new feeling for me and I am uncomfortable. I have also found that some people are uncomfortable with me feeling prideful. Huh? I know! I have some friends who get squeemish when I tell them about something exciting that happened to me...it's almost like they would rather not hear it. So, I've stopped telling the people that react that way to me things. I thought it was me- was I getting a high and mighty attitude about myself? Was I braging? No- I was just trying to process this new feeling, that's all. I loved your post, especially the above part. I could have written it myself. Certain "friends"come into mind when I read it. I have actually stopped and thought...do they think I am braging because that is how I feel they feel. I just get so excited, especially when I reach a mini goal or NSV and I want to share it with my friends, but alot of them really dont seem to want to hear it. Thanks for your post...From me its all DITTO!!! Especially the new feeling of pride, hopefully one day we can embrace it.

Have the types of food you crave changed?
Kelliebelly replied to Parvathi's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am the same when I was at a restaurant, I would look for what looked like the hugest most fattening meal. Now I look for fish ro chicken. As for cravings, I dont crave most of the junk I use to...I still crave chocolate a bit. Before banding I really was never into crackers or cheese, now I seem to have a thing for them, I was never into ice cream, now I love it. I know that at least twice a week or so we had takeaway, alternating between KFC, pizza and chinese, now we are lucky to have it twice a month....and I dont crave it all. I wish I craved fruit, I dont like many fruits. I love all vegies though. -
I am petrified of tidal waves, always have been. I am half an hr from the beach but still petrified when I am anywhere near one that a tidal wave will come. I am not too fond of the dark either.

Thats great...couldnt have happened to a more deserving person.

I dont think that having weight loss surgery would affect the outcome as Penni lost her band...so she has no advantages over anyone else. Good Luck Penni!!

I have just got back from Sydney to see my plastic surgeon. His name is Dr Tavakoli...He has featued on shows like BodyWorks and magazines like Marie Clare. I have been researching for months and months, emailing and speaking with several different surgeons. He first sat me down and talked with me about alot of things including that he will not touch me if I dont give up smoking. A little to give up for what I want though. He took me into a room and I had to get naked and he checked everything out. He said he will be able to really work with my boobs and that I dont need implants but I am a grade 3 with my sagginess...ewwww. With my tummy tuck he is going to do an Extended Tummy tuck, one which is a little longer than the normal one so he can take the fat etc from the hips and lift the outside of my thighs a little. He said it will change my life and that when hes finished it will be flat and no saggy skin. He is going to lipo my flanks and back fat to countour my body nicely....oh I tell you I am in love. He is going to book me in for around end of March. I have to stay in hospital for 3 nights and in Sydney for another 4 nights incase anything goes wrong. The cost is huge ... it was nothing like I was expecting but I have no private health insurance so I am completely self pay. All up including hospital etc its going to be about $25 000...but what value can you put on how it will finally make me feel after having this tummy since I was 16 when I had my eldest, I really have known nothing other than a belly and boobs that sag badly. I am just so excited, I cant find the words. Anyway, as for tummy tucks please think about who you go to...everyone to their own, but if you have to pay a little extra so its done properly I would do that. Look around carefully, there are so many PS that you have a wide choice..... I have researched for so long and emailed countless surgeons...Some just want your money and dont care about the results...others are like artists, they look at our body and think how they can sculpt it into something better. This Dr has big plans and it really excited me hearing him talk about what he is going to do. I have another app in a month for a photo shoot as he put it lol...then its down to business. :cake:

Just got back from Plastic Surgeon...
Kelliebelly replied to Kelliebelly's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Nykee, I just seen your post after I posted. You didnt offend. I am sorry you arent in the position to do surgery. For a lot of years I wasnt either. I could never see the day I could have any of what I had done happen....But the day came. I bet you never expected to have the lapband and the money to pay for it...well it happened. I am sure one day will be your day!!! I was looking into extreme makeover...after you lose your weight give them a call, see if they could help you with the loose skin. Hugs -
Just got back from Plastic Surgeon...
Kelliebelly replied to Kelliebelly's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Thanks everyone...As for the weight loss ..nothing was said about me losing more weight. He said I had done extremely well with what I had lost. I am only 9kgs form my surgeons goal and once he takes the skin off and you wouldnt believe how much skin there is...plus lipos it a bit he said I will probably be nearly at my goal anyway. So anythiung I lose after that is a bonus. Although, as long as you dont intend losing more than about 20kgs or so after your tuck the results should be ok, anymore than that I would try and lose some first so the results arent compromised. As for what Kare said it is very true...I would swap my car, puter ...most things for this operation...only we can understand how difficult it is to live with the sagging skin...some are worse than others but I mean summers are the worst, I cant stand the rashes...so how much it costs entered my head...I mulled it around and called the bank -

Thanks for your well wishes...I will definately share all my results, before and afters etc to you guys... Nykee...$25 000 is sooooo much money to me too, I shared the price because alot of people have been asking for prices recently for TTs. I will be borrowing most of it...I know it is alot of money to pay back but I have had a VERY saggy belly that hangs over the top of my thighs etc since the birth of my eldest when I was 16/17. Its really all I know, and to actually think that it wont be long till I dont have it is exciting but scarey as well...now that I know when it will be the thoughts of all the pain etc are kicking it. I just keep thinking of the results and hopefully that will get me through :cake: Thanks everyone Hugs -
GOOD LUCK.... I would have chosen TBL too.

Ill be sending you some yummy vegemite from Australia when you hit goal :cake: mmmmm nice healthy yeast extract spread loaded with vitamin B...*barf*
