Follow A Sleever From Day 1 to 1 Year
cinthysline replied to Jerziegirl's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I love your thread. My surgery was 03/05 and I weighed 224. As of this morning, I am 199. Woot Hoot! As you can see, I am a slow loser too. I know if I drank more water and exercised, I might also see the scale move a little faster. I pray that I never see 200 pounds again. Hopefully, losing slow will help us keep the weight off. Your threads give me the incentive to keep going. Thank you so much for sharing your journey! -
Losing weight slow
cinthysline replied to Volumptious's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I am also a slow loser. I have only lost 25 pounds since surgery on 03/05. I know it is frustrating but I hope that means we will keep the weight off. Good luck on your journey. -
Locking up my scale for now
cinthysline replied to kpay10's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I have lost a total of 58 pounds since last October. Having said this, I have only lost 25 pounds since my surgery on 03/05. I am hoping that by losing it slow, the weight will stay off this time. Congratulations on your weight loss. -
I am not sure if the weight I lost so far is common (23 post op, 8 preop)
cinthysline replied to maryb2931's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I am two months out and down 56 pounds. Having said this, 32 pounds were lost before surgery and I have only lost 24 since surgery. I have found that most of the people who have lost a lot of weight, include the amount of their pre-op weight loss in the overall total. I think you are doing great. -
becoming increasingly frustrated
cinthysline replied to Lamonica2013's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I will be 8 weeks out on Wednesday and I have only lost 22 pounds. Some of us just lose it slower then others. We just need to be patient. -

Help! I had a setback today and wonder how much I hurt myself.
cinthysline replied to JulsOT's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think many of us did the same thing today. I ate a chocolate covered marshmallow egg and had 4 bites of pumpkin pie. I do not do this everyday. Today is a holiday and I am going to forgive myself. Overall, I do not think I out ate my sleeve. Two months ago I would of had 2 pieces of pie and 5 or 6 pieces of Sees candy by now! On the positive side, I left the stuffing and yams alone! -

Thinking of Quitting- I'm overwhelmed
cinthysline replied to hopeful2loose2014's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
My doctor only required a two day liquid diet. The two weeks before were no carbs. I think you will be just fine as you are "cheating" healthy! -

Losing Weight but not Inches?
cinthysline replied to Debi Amador's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It took me 40 pounds before I went down a size. It seems I lose everywhere. As a result , it seems my feet are getting smaller then my waist. -
Am I Eating Too Much?
cinthysline replied to LisaDM's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am just a couple days short of 4 weeks out. I also can eat 600-800 calories without issue. I was 258 to start last October. I was 224 the day of surgery and I am 210 today, so I am not losing as fast as others. Having said this, I am glad I can eat comfortably and as long as I can average a couple of pounds a week, or 8-10 pounds a month, I think I can be satisfied with that. Hopefully, this means less excess skin to deal with? -
Under 200 pounds first time in over several decades!

Help! Scale not moving
cinthysline replied to LaGueriTaChuLa13's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had a stall after one week too. I am almost 4 weeks out and am only down 14 pounds since surgery. But I hear if we lose it slow, it will be better for us in the long run. I was disappointed also but I figure if I can average 8-10 pounds a month, in time, it will all come off eventually. -
Hair loss and now gallstones:( Yikes!
cinthysline replied to escott37's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I had my gall bladder out 5 years prior to the sleeve. I thought that surgery was easy to recover from. -

had surgery march 3rd 2014
cinthysline replied to hopehurley's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello. I had surgey 03/05. Doctor moved me to soft foods on 03/13 and said I could have any cheese I wanted. When my family had pizza, I took the cheese off 1 slice and ate it. It was so good and I felt like I was eating with the family. No issues from it at all. -
Getting surgery on monday! 3/24/14
cinthysline replied to bsmalls's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I drink the Premier Protein by pouring it at room temperature over ice and add a 1/3 cup of coffee to it. This makes it much more easier to drink after surgery. -
This head hunger is no joke!
cinthysline replied to starna01's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The doctor put me on soft foods last Wednesday. He said I could have any kind of cheese I wanted. I scraped the cheese off of a piece of pizza and ate a 1/4 cups worth. I felt like I was eating pizza with everyone else. It was so good, I did not miss the crust. -
Aunt GG - I could of written your post. Today I am 2 weeks out. I have had no issues either. After 1 week my doctor sent me straight to soft foods. He even went as far as telling me "no puréed foods". Having said this, I almost get scared because things have been so easy and I hardly feel any restriction?

I was sleeved on 03/05 and would love to join Facebook. I am Cinthy Howard and my email is Cinthysline@aol.com. Thanks!

I was sleeved on 03/05. I lost 9 pounds in the first 8 days. I was switched to soft foods on day 8 and I have gained 1 pound since I went to soft foods. Very discouraging. -
Wonderful Disappointment
cinthysline replied to Nobby UK's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
47 pounds in a little over 3 weeks is amazing. I am jealous. I have only lost 8 pounds in 13 days. Congratulations on your success.
