  1. Hey guys!! SW: 331 CW: 278 GW: 180 Height: 5'10" I've lost a total of 53 pounds since my surgery on May 13,2014. Is that pretty good? My goal is to be 180 by June 1st.... I've hit a few stalls, which makes me nervous and I visited my surgeon the other day who said I needed to increase my daily calories from 800 to 1000. I do cardio anywhere from 30 mins/day to 1 hour sometimes. I've been trying to eat better and get more Protein in... Who thinks I can make my goal? I'm praying that I can! I'm a bridesmaid in a wedding next June and I'd like to be 180...

Is my weight good? Okay? Normal?

Thanks so much for the support guys! I tend to overthink and really stress myself Out
  3. Hey guys!! ! I need some advice! I was sleeved on May 13th, 2014 and I'm a little over 2 months out. I began at 330pounds and I have lost almost 40 pounds. I'm like super stressed. My weight keeps going back and forth in between 289 to 291 and it's driving me crazy. I really want to lose 110pounds in 9 months (by June for a wedding that I'm in).... I literally cried today because this is so hard for me. I work out for an hour on Mon, Tues, We'd, Thurs---- mostly cardio.... But I'm not sure it's enough.... Does anyone have any suggestions on a variety of foods for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks? And exercise plans also? I'm so burned out from eating the same stuff over and over! PLEASE HELP !

  6. Was sleeved May 13th and I'm able to tolerate more things now; however, I've always loved watermelon -- and now that I can tolerate it more --- is it bad to have it MoSt of the time?

5 week early stall BROKEN :)

I've finally gotten past my 1 week stall. My surgery was May 13th and I went in weighing 330. I lost about 22 pounds post op (2weeks later). During week 3, I went through a small stall, just for a few days, which was discouraging, but I still continued to exercise and eat correctly. Now I am 3 pounds lighter.
  8. Despite this annoying stall that I've been going through for almost 2 weeks --- I'm feeling good today!!! But I was just reading some weight loss success stories on some of the forums and I'm truly amazed !!!!! So many people have lost significant amounts- but unfortunately, haven't shared any of their exercise regimes. Can anyone share some weight loss tips with me? Any new exercise patterns that have helped you become successful throughout your journey thus far? I want to do more than just walk...
  9. That's SO good! Congrats! I was sleeved May 13th and I've lost 24 pounds... But I've hit a stall. I know it'll be temporary because from what I've read, stalls are common during week 3...

5 week early stall BROKEN :)

I'm so glad you posted this because I'm over here going crazy! I've been stuck on the same amount for about 2 weeks now and I was really worried
  11. I've only been sleeved since May 13th-- so about 3 weeks now-- and I'm feeling so emotional. I've actually cried recently because I have a fear of not being successful in this entire lifestyle change. I began my journey at 330 and today, 3 weeks later, my weight is going back and forth between 306 and 308 and it's really stressing me out. I'm scared as S**T because I really want to be successful and I feel like I'm already hitting bumps in the road. I try to work out 30 minutes a day and it's just so terribly hard! I can't really eat things from my week 3 list because they make me somewhat sick. I'm just having thee most difficult time at just the thought of being unsuccessful and I cry about it every now and then. Protein drinks make me sick, multivitamins make me cringe, the only things I'm able to tolerate are soups, smoothies, and tuna. I'm craving foods and afraid to try anything because I can't hold things down .... I'm ALWAYS tired and drained when I should want to exercise... And, at the same time, while realizing all of this, and feeling frustrated, I stand in the mirror and look at my reflection and feel so proud of myself for losing 22 pounds this far. But all I can think of is the fact that I weigh 308 now and I REALLY want to be in between 170lbs and 185lbs by next June. Is anyone else an emotional wreck like I am?

    Im an emotional wreck. Help!

Thank all of you SO MUCH for your kind, supportive words! You have no idea how much I needed to hear all of these things. I agree that It is a very new process, and that it will get better. And I also agree that I need to chill with getting on the scale so much because it's become a very bad habit of mine.
  14. Hey everyone ! Happy Monday! I have a slight problem. Well actually, problem(s)! I'm 6 days out, I've lost 15 pounds (which is awesome) and I've been doing well with my liquid diet but I have so much going on! I have a very sensitive body so..... 1) the Protein shakes make me feel AWFUL .,, from the taste, smell, and the nausea... Just awful! I can't tolerate them! 2) my Vitamins are chewable and make me nauseous as well. I was forced to go to GNC to purchase vitamins that I could just swallow rather than chew.... Is that horrible? 3) I went to class today and went too long without Water and I felt awful! I saw a nearby mcdonalds and got a cup of water through the drive thru and TOTALLY forgot about the no straw rule 1 minute into drinking my water!!!!! I have so much indigestion, hiccups, and gas.... Has anyone experienced this? If so, how long will it last? 4) I've been walking for 20-30 minutes per day.... Which is the bare minimum (in my opinion) -- should I be doing more? Please help!?
  15. Thanks soooo much for your help guys!!! I really appreciate it! I'm over here constantly worried about what to do, when to do it, if I'm doing things correctly, and so much more! So thanks again!

  18. I'm new to the site as well. I'm scheduled for the sleeve surgery on May 13th, 2014 and I'm a nervous wreck, but excited at the same time! I haven't told many people because I've gone through the process before, and after I was approved for the surgery by my surgeon, I discovered that my insurance wouldn't cover it. However, now, I'm back on track and I've only told those who have been supportive. Many of my friends aren't happy that I'm having surgery and it's upsetting because I just need everyone to be supportive about it because I'm excited. I've struggled my entire life with my weight and health and this is finally something that would make me happier and most importantly, healthier. I'm also concerned about how I'll be treated by people once the weight starts to come off rapidly. I spoke with someone who said some of her friends became very distant... I'm hoping that doesn't happen to me.
