What was your recovery time on that?

    Revision for vsg to bypass

I have to have one because I have SEVERE reflux... I'm a nurse and I had no idea that reflux could be so bad. I have to have a revision because my reflux is so severe the only fix is to gave a bypass. It really disappointed because I already lost 100# and I don't want to lose anymore I'm afraid that I will get too low... and then how will I gain it back? Let me know your thoughts.

Dropped 3 pants size in 2 months

I've gone from a 44 to a 34. It's a huge change, and I've not been a huge fan... tons of money in clothes and I've sent 10 large bags to Goodwill and I still have more. What I've been doing while I've been losing is buying a size smaller than what I needed in those pants with the stretchy things on the side. I stretch those out and eventually, they fit well... just a suggestion because it's saved me money on work pants and other dress clothes. I'm down 80 lbs in 3 months.

    bowel issue?

I think it depends on the person. I had been regular for a while but now I go like twice a week. I feel fine with that. .. not much going in anymore.
  6. So I have been having a lot of problems with GERD, now more than ever. I have been taking PPIs with no relief, in fact, it's so bad when I sleep, I have a huge spasm and I have acid spewing into my mouth, or worse, into my nose! (That's the most terrible thing!) I went to see my PMD, thinking that I needed an adjustment in my PPI, but she was concerned that it might be something deeper than just reflux... and she's right. I had an upper GI study done and I have a hiatal hernia, which was not there when I had a GI study 4 weeks after surgery. I've done a lot of research and it looks like I might be in for more surgery to correct it, and most people have a Nissen Fundoplication with the hernia repair, but I don't think that's possible after I have had the sleeve. 1) Has anyone had experience with this? 2) What are the outcomes? 3) What's the healing time? Thanks!
