Hi Guys, I have just past the first week mark for my Lap band and i have lost 10 pounds so far! i am very nervous about moving to solids because i know that the weight loss will slow down and i might even gain weight! is it possible to have solid weightloss after starting solids? Looking for guidance, Thanks

Hi one2of9, Do you know if its the same for BC? you have have 4 months of no weightloss? i would hate to have to wait that long to lose any weight. Do you know if your doctor did anything differently?

Thank you so much bobbiejoned27 for telling me that. I feel much more at ease. Unfortunately for me, I am from BC, Canada so it would be expensive to go back to Dr Kuri for fills.

Hi there, I am being banded by Dr Kuri on the 14th February. Am I correct in saying that Dr Kuri does not out any full in the band at all? Does that mean that I won't have weight loss till I get my first fill?

i have no choice but to use a mexican surgeon because no local DR would do it, I will have the fil done by Dr Ric Arseneau, in Vancouver. BMI of 25 would be great! I am not expecting anymore than that.

i am self paid, doing it in mexico (no dr in BC Canada would do it unless over 35) i am paying $5000 for surgery out of pocket about $6500 with cost of flights acc etc

Hi Guys, I have my surgery scheduled for the 14th Febuary and im having lots of last minute fears. My BMI is only 30 which is low compared to most people getting the surgery. I have been reading a lot about success rates and have read that people with BMI 30 and under do not have the sucess that larger patients do. has anyone had the surgery with BMI 30 or under? is it worth it fore me? I have struggled with my weight all my life and im really counting on this surgery to change things around.
