Hi All, Sounds like everyone is doing well. Keep it up! Past my six month mark; I'm down 131 pounds (total)! Blood work is excellent and I'm feeling awesome. Have an appointment this month to see if I still need my CPAP. Keys to success: - Log Your food (everything) - Exercise - Positive Attitude - Nothing Tastes Like Skinny Feels

I think exercise has been the main reason for my loss so far.

Deanna I have oatmeal with a tablespoon of Chia seeds every morning except on the weekends I have some protein cereal. Lunch usually consists of a salad with feta or cottage cheese and pears. I alternate lunch with turkey taco meat or something every few days. Dinner is a variety of fish, ground turkey, shrimp, Chili etc. I unfortunately can not eat eggs or chicken since my surgery. Every attempt has come back. I focus mainly on my protein first. I try to add broccoli or something but I usually don't eat it. I try very hard to have 2 protein drinks a day. I love the Premier from Costco or the Ohhh Yea brand. I try to get lots of water but only average 5 cups per day.

As of Wednesday I am down 101 lbs. I am staying around 900 cal per day with at least 80 g of protein. I'm exercising three days a week. I generally do about four or five machines and at least 2 miles on an elliptical. I am happy with my loss so far. I feel better than I felt in a long long time. Happy four months everyone keep up the good work!

Hi all, Glad everyone is doing pretty good. Yesterday was my worst day so far. Couldn't keep anything down; no food, no liquid. Took some papaya before bed and seems to have done the trick. Thank goodness. New lifestyle is awesome! Since Feb 18th I'm down more than 88 ponds! :-) Best I have felt in MANY years. Keep up the good work everyone!

I'm two months out from bypass; just joined a new gym. Im going three days a week doing a mix of machines and cardio. Trying to target each body part during the week. What are your workout routines? What machines work best for bypass losers? What machines work best for excess skin areas?

Had my 6 week check this week. Doing great! Surgery was 18 February. Down 52lbs (including pre liquid diet). Knees are feeling better and doing good with the routine. Loving Wendy's Chili.

I have sleep apnea. I had it before my surgery. My doctor requires a sleep study for everyone. Since I do have it my hospital requires me to bring my machine the day of my surgery and will make sure it is utilized. I know someone else who is having surgery in a few weeks that was also recently diagnosed with sleep apnea. They are not required to bring it with them for their surgery. I know the doctors use sleep apnea as a justification for the surgery but it appears each case is different whether you have to take it to the hospital or not. I love my sleep apnea machine; I had no idea how poorly I was sleeping at night until I got it. Hopefully after I lose the weight from my bypass I will no longer need it.

One more day! Can't wait for Tuesday (2/18/14) morning. I'm first in and ready. Got all my vitamins, protein and liquids ready. I've already lost around 20lbs on my Optifast liquid diet and I feel great. Can't imagine how I will feel with 100lbs less!
