Any February 2014 Sleevers?
millergirl314 replied to honeyg317's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I've been on a plateau for amidst a year now, ever since I had my gall bladder removed I have only lost s few more lbs. very frustrating but I know a lot of it has to do with an unfortunate popcorn and chip addiction that I have exiled out of my life a few weeks back. Stupid salty crunchy stuff!!! So, after a well earned tongue lashing from my nut, and some encouraging words from my doc, I think I'll break the cycle and start losing again. Just remember that you have lost 100# and that is something to be proud of! It took a lot of hard work and dedication to do that and you are continually improving yourself with every choice you make that leads in the direction you want to go. We are aloud to detour, let's both find that path again! -

How is the Whole30 plan going? I've been considering it, but I'm not sure I can give up my daily yogurt and night glass of red.... ???? -

Get so sleepy after I eat.
millergirl314 replied to towanda825's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm over a year out and it happens to me sometimes too. I don't understand it either, it's like a food coma but I didn't stuff my face. Weird. -
Does anyone else worry about all the artificial sweeteners?
millergirl314 replied to fox99's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I use them, but I try to use the stevia or monk fruit when possible and nothing with sugar alcohols. The alcohols give me insane gas which I quite embarrassing at work. I'm really trying to just cut out the sweetness all together. -

He doesn't have the same problem with food as I did, and it's not my right to control what he puts in his body by choice. But when I cook, I make food I can eat too, cuz I'm not cooking different meals. If they don't like it then they can cook for themselves. If he's sitting next to me munching on Cheetos then I'll grab a protein bar if I'm tempted

What's with all the "diet" food?
millergirl314 replied to lgrey's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Great thread! I try to eat clean and avoid a lot of chemical laden foods, my big one was banishing margarine from my life, lol, that was always a staple before, not anymore. Now I'm working on not only not having any fake sweeteners but not needing anything to be sweetened period. And I cook all my families meals cleaner now too, they eat what I eat usually, they're getting healthier too :-) -

Cupofjojo you look awesome! -
I'm going to download the couch to 5k app. See how that goes. Get a rain slicker for my dogs and I, since I live where it rains all the time lol. I love that movie Zombieland, seriously wanted a Twinkie after I saw it too lol.

I would not consider YOU a successful WLS patient!
millergirl314 replied to RJ'S/beginning's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Unfortunately using tack, respect, and consideration are not a requirement for one to become a doctor. Those ones that do have these traits have the most patients. You are very needed here and are definitely not a failure. Find a different doctor much love! -
What's the deal with CAFFEINE ?!
millergirl314 replied to bajagal101's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have coffee a couple times a week, that's including the weekly Wednesday 12oz white coffee sugar free white chocolate americano with a splash of almond milk, that helps me get through a mandatory boring 6am meeting at work, and it helps me Go to the bathroom without taking pills I used to drink constantly before my pre op diet, now it's not as exciting. But I just got a keurig and found some sleepy time tea pods for it too
