Congrats! What time is your surgery Monday? We are in this together, mine is tomorrow too! I feel the same way as you do, where did my confidence go? I just try to focus on one thing I plan on doing as a result of the awesome choice I'm making. I want to wear shorts this summer, and a tank top too. If I focus on the outcomes it helps settle my nerves a bit. -
Well nSabino, we share the same date and it's only a couple days away. I have the same thoughts and feelings, I think I might write some letters tonight. Good luck on Monday girl, hope for a speedy recovery for ya :-)

Great question! I too am a tummy sleeper and have 6 days before my date, so that crossed my mind too. -

Hope you're feeling better soon Kat, if you're still on the morphine, I think if you take Benadryl it help with the itches, but ask your doc first.

Day two of pre op diet for me, and even though I can have caffeine and soda now, I cannot after surgery so I just ousted that yesterday as well. I didn't realize how much caffeine I had daily until now. As for my last meal before pre diet, I had noodles. Won't get to have those for awhile :-) -

I too am on day 1 of pre op diet, I have my final Nut class later on too. They put me on a restricted carb diet, very similar to Adkins, which isn't bad except I'm already going through sugar and caffeine withdrawals. I'm gonna have to pick up some of the sugar free fiber stuff mentioned above. Good luck guys, let's be strong :-) -

When I had my mine, their main concern was transfer addictions. They don't want people to replace the food and the feelings with alcohol, drugs, sex, or gambling, all that sorts. It wasn't as bad as I thought either, the cost however wasn't covered by insurance and cost me $400. The end result will be worth it though. You will do just fine at your eval ???? -

Wow that's a lot to go thru, lots of ups and downs bc of insurance. I had to switch mine to get coverage. I hope the process is a lot smoother for you now, I guess once it clears through insurance, you're kinda on the home stretch lol. -

Sounds good! I am excited but pretty nervous too. I have my pre op visit with my dr and my hubby this afternoon, pretty happy about that. Have you gone through with any of the other evals or anything else? -
Mmmm never thought about pumpkin purée in the cottage cheese, I like it so I'll be trying that one thank you!

I am not a self pay, sorry. I can't imagine what it would cost without insurance! But on the other hand we'll do what's necessary to finally be the healthier person we want to be :-) -
