I did attend the support group. There were five of us there--everyone there had already had surgery. It will the second Tuesday of each month. Maybe you can attend next month. I get hungry sometimes but not too bad.

Hello! Sounds like you are back on track for your March surgery. I saw an earlier post that you were going to have to wait until December due to insurance issues. I had my surgery in Tifton on 2/12 and am doing great! I have an appt. with Dr. Smith tomorrow and should get my first fill. Did you know they are starting a support group tonight? Lynn

I was banded on 2/12. My port is in my chest also. I am scheduled for my 1st fill on 3/12.

Hi. I see that your surgeon is Dr. Christopher Smith. He is also my surgeon. I was banded on 2/12. I also questioned the placement of the port in the chest. His reasoning made sense. He gave me the option to have it placed in the abdomen if I wanted but I told him to go ahead and put it in the chest. I will tell you that the port incision is the largest I have and the most sore, but it gets better every day. Do you live in Albany?
