    Embarrassing tmi question for women

Plan B is high dose birth control. If dr didn't want you on pill he probably doesn't want you to take plan B. It's probably far enough post surgery, but why take that risk? Call the dr office back. Tell them it's an emergency. You just had major surgery!! The answering service doesn't need to know what kind of surgery. It's none of their business!! I know it probably doesn't help, but if you just finished your period, you are more than likely not ovulating. Best of luck

Ok so I can't figure out the whole picture thing! Orange dress is May 2013 & is my most hated picture of myself. Little black dress was yesterday at Ross's. I would never have even thought about trying on a dress like that, not to mention buying it!!

No Morning Cup of Coffee? For Real?

Love my coffee! I had trouble drinking it after surgery. It didn't taste right. It did gradually get better & I can drink it again now. I use sf syrup & a bit of half n half. It's yummy! A new normal

    Any February 2014 Sleevers?

I had a 3 week stall too. It will pass. It's just annoying!! Congrats on the wedding!
  15. Your doctor should give you a plan. The first month is a little rough. You do have to sip, sip, sip to get your water in. Definitely work on getting your protein in too. But don't progress faster than you are suppose to. Don't eat things you know aren't healthy. Always eat your protein first & stop eating when you feel full. Don't "graze" all day, cause you will definitely eat too much. My doctor also suggests no bread, rice, pasta or potatoes for a year. I'm 4 months out & it's easier to get off track now. I could eat anything, but everything is not a good idea (even in small amounts). If you weren't given a plan, let me know. I will share mine with you. It progressed slowly over 6 weeks. It's definitely doable. Best of luck!
  16. Hey guys! Sleeved 2/19. Down 79lbs since preop. Just work the plan. Be committed! You can't just eat whatever you want in small amounts & be successful. I have no doubt that I will lose over 100lbs. As the weight comes off you will feel so much better!! It is a HUGE commitment though. Just prepare yourself for that. It has not been as hard as I anticipated. Best of luck to you!!

Cja76 you can do this!!! Remember this is not a race. It's a new lifestyle. Thank you for the encouragement! We just have to take 1 day at a time. This is such a wonderful opportunity for us to " reclaim" our lives & our health! You were so brave to get this far. Never give up! If you get discouraged you may stray from the plan. It's too important to give up. We are all here if you need us! Good luck!!

    Labs 3 years out

My PCP said part of what we had to develop calcium & iron was removed with surgery, so supplements were mandatory. Best of luck to you.

    February Sleevers.... Check in!

Hey guys! Just wanted to share that I have been stuck at 200.2 since May 28. In all actuality my scale has gone up & down since 5/28 --up to 204 but not below 200.2. I know I didn't really gain 4 lbs in 3 days!!!! Dropping into the 100s was so important to me & it seemed just out of reach. It has worried me & I've complained & pouted & complained some more! Then this AM I weighed & guess what? ONEDERLAND!!!!! 198.2. I even showed my husband!! He hasn't seen my weight in 20 years!! What did I do different? Nothing! I just continued to work my plan. I keep carbs below 30 almost always. I had been diagnosed with diabetes, so I'm a bit more careful than some people. It's been 17 weeks since surgery. I have had no medication for DM since the day before surgery. My hemoglobin A1c is 5.1 (which is wonderful!) I take 1/2 of a blood pressure pill (previously I took 4!) & my liver enzymes are normal . Thank you Jesus!! I saw my PCP today & she hugged me & was thrilled. She showed me my picture on my file on her computer & said we would need to take a new one. I don't look like the same person!!! Well I don't feel like the same person either. So blessed to have been given this opportunity. Y'all hold your heads up high & try not to get discouraged!! Work your plan. The scale will eventually move. Just don't give up!!
