    Stomach swelling

Good to hear. Thanks for sharing
  3. I'm 3 .5 weeks post op and am having problems with buttoning my pants. They fit super lose in thighs and hips, but tight around waist. Does anyone else have this problem? Or do I have a Mrs Potato head body with skinny limbs?

    Anyone have a bad day?

Sorry to hear this. You should contact your surgeon. I hope you feel better
  7. I can relate to everything your feeling except for the fever. I'm 54 years old and have always bounced back from surgeries except for this one. I felt miserable for the first 15 days. Although the pain was minimal, I didn't feel like myself and had some regrets. However, on day 17, things began to change. I have more energy and am now taking 20 min walks. I realize that 20 min. isn't a lot based on what others are doing, but each step for me matters because 5 days before I was depleted. It seems that many of us during the early stages don't have the perfect recovery and our pre-op excitement was replaced with some a level of regret. Know that it does get better with time, and as we recover and begin to feel and look great this experience will help us keep on track w our new healthy lifestyles. I wish you a speedy recovery
  8. That would be lovely. The only day I can meet is on Saturday's because I work during the week
  9. I'm live in the northern part of OC? What part of OC are you from?

    Post-op hospital stay

I was sleeved two weeks ago today. I was supposed to stay in the hospital for two days, but was release a day early. The hospital is cold so make sure you takes some warm socks. The pain varies from person to person, but my pain was minimal. I refused pain meds and took Tylenol a couple of times. The nausea was pretty bad for about 2 days, but it eventually passed. Good luck with your surgery

    NOT ADAPTING TO PHASE 2...HELP!

I'm on liquids for 3 weeks before I can start the stage 2 diet. Based on the different responses , it looks like you have the shortest number of days on the liquid diet. I hope you feel better

    Weight Loss?

My recommendation is you first do some internet research on your surgeon. Call the office manager and ask how many of his surgeries had leaks or complications that resulted from the surgery. Your questions will have standard answers which is always helpful, but what matters is that you are comfortable with your surgeon. Good luck

    Work clothes

    Having concerns...

Hi Kelly Everyone has a different experience , but here is mine. I was sleeved 14 days ago. For the first 2 .5 days, I was nauseated and could not hold down water without gagging. It was difficult b walk because of the nausea, but had to because of the gas build up. The next challenge I've been dealing with is the lack of energy. I'm told that the energy will come back one I start eating. I'm getting around fine, but I miss feeling like myself.

    Starting liquid diet again

Can you please share with newbies like me what you were eating? I'm still on stage 1 diet and really am interested on what I can do to avoid this from happening to me because I never want to go back on this protein diet again!

How are you prepping for surgery?

Are you using chewable or chewable gummies? I thought my NUT told me gummies were fine and now I'm reading otherwise. Gummy vitamins are not taken until stage 2 of my diet. I think at that time, it should be ok.

How are you prepping for surgery?

I looked for high protein grams with the least amount of sugar. Premier Protein has worked for me. It has 30 grams of protein and taste good.

How are you prepping for surgery?

My 3 week post op vitamin diet consist of vitamins C & D daily, and b-12 once a week. Vitamin C is sold in liquid form from Amazon. I blend both vitamins in my chocolate protein shakes that disguises the vitamin C flavor. If you can, use a good smoothie blender like the magic bullet. Adding in a little ice make the protein thick like a shake.
