  1. Just an FYI ... I'm 5 days post op with the sleeve. Everything is going well. I just wanted to share what my friend shared with me about getting your drinks paid for through your insurance. Didn't know if it would go through or not but it did!! I signed up online at Insure Nutrition, gave them my insurance information (make sure it's your prescription plan info) and they did all the work for me. They verified my insurance, contacted my Doctor for the prescription and a week later I received my first shipment!! You all may already know about this but I didn't and I honestly couldn't have been more surprised that it was approved and had no copay!! My drinks were actually delivered a week before my surgery do they were ready for me! They also do liquid supplements but my doctor has me on chewable Flintstones lol so I'm doing those instead. Oh and I'm doing premier chocolate.

I take OTC probiotics daily now. I go once to twice a day now. I did miralax, prune juice, magnesium citrate (ugh) and enemas!!!

    Fitbit

I had the force (which I loved) but had to send back due to the recall. I'm using the fitbit one now and love it but I'm really waiting on their new one. Hope it is similar to the force.
  4. It is over the counter.
  5. Two weeks post op my doctor had me on a low carb diet. Nothing major. Two days prior to surgery I was on clear liquids.
  6. Take probiotics! I had the same problem and now I go daily!

Brooke what fitbit is the best one to get? I've been wanting one. I'm have a fitbit and I love it! I started off with the FitBit Force but had to send it back because of the recall. I'm using the FitBit One until they come out with a newer one. I loved the force though and can't wait to see what they replace it with! Would love to have some friends with fitbits

    Stool Softener

I've used all of the above trying to get myself regular since surgery but the only thing that helped me (once I finally went) was taking probiotics daily. Now I go once a day like clockwork!!
  11. Oh I hate that too!! It is a hard habit to break! I have to physically move my water out of reach because I've caught myself picking it up out if habit
  12. Good job all! I was sleeved on 1/27/14 and am down 45 pounds. No complications with any food. Milk does bother me but it did before surgery so am not surprised. I'm just now seeing an increase in my energy level.

  15. I used my united healthcare and was denied. Used my CVS/Caremark and was approved.
  16. Mine was prescription info but I read someone else on here said they used their insurance information. Mine was denied through insurance but approved through prescription plan.
  17. I would say 5 to 10 seconds is about accurate. It was really quick! I held my husbands hand and squeezed my eyes closed. My husband started laughing and told me I could let go of his hand it was over lol!
  18. Weird yes. Uncomfortable yes. Painful no! Was so relieved to get it out and felt so much better after the fact. Good luck you will do great! .
  19. My Doctor has had me on a chewable Flintstone. I'm almost 4 weeks out and will be adding in calcium citrate with D plus biotin. I can also take a regular multivitamin now instead of the chewable. That's it for now.

    Pureed Question

What you guys are feeling is stomach acid. I thought it was hunger also until I started reading some posts on this board. My Doctor started me on prilosec which he told me I should have left the hospital with. It will soon pass. Are you all on anything similar to Prilosec?

    Pureed Question

Oh and the weight. I did hit a stall when I started on the puréed foods. I have also sprained my ankle so my movement is very limited.

    Pureed Question

They haven't caused me any problem. I only ate them a couple times a week. My surgeon also recommended Wendy's chili. You can either chew chew chew or put it in the blender. He said he lived on that when he had his surgery done. Also sprinkled some cheese on for some extra protein. I did that on the beans and chili.
