Hi to all February banders! My surgery was February 24. Down 82 pounds so far! 25 to go. Weight loss lately is only a pound a week at this stage of my journey. Even had a few weeks where no weight loss but no weight gain either. Challenge will be the winter months. Do a lot more sitting around in the evenings. A big incentive is my daughter is getting married in August so want to be looking good for that. My Dr. Says I am doing great, hope it continues

It has been a week and two days since my surgery. Things are going better now. First few days I had a lot of gas/heartburn but that has seem to be much better these last three days. Still a little pain at the port site, but getting better. Not as painful getting up and down out of chairs and bed and can sleep on my back and left side. I have tried the right side a couple of times but still causes pain where the port is. I am on full liquids til Monday and then I will start soft foods. I am definitely ready for that, even if it is just 1/2 to a cup Since the pre-op Optifast diet I have lost 22 pounds!!! That is exciting! I can definitely tell the difference! I am excited for all of us as we begin our new life!! I wish us all continued success and good results on this life journey!

Surgery tomorrow morning at 7:00 a.m. Sure hoping and praying that all goes well. Am so glad that this two week Optifast diet will be done. On the positive side, I did drop 15 pounds. On to a new lease on life!

Surgery is on Monday! I am so ready to be done with this two week Optifast diet before surgery, 5 more days UGH!

I would definitely talk to your Dr. I met with my anesthologist last week (two weeks before surgery) and he said that if I got sick within these two weeks it would be better to postpone my surgery.

I didn't lol I tried to get on all the food I can .. Fat girl I am now I don't eat anything I have to do a 14 day Optifast liquid diet prior to surgery. I am on day three--its going to be a long two weeks, but will be worth it.

Starting my 14 day pre-op Optifast diet today! COuld be a long two weeks, but on the positive side, so far the liquid drink tastes good so that will help. Can't believe this process is finally starting! It has been a long 9 months to get to this point! First step to a new me!

Thanks for the encouraging words! And congrats on the 10 pounds!! This will all be worth it! If losing weight was easy we would all weigh our ideal weight without the surgery!! But we are strong and can do what we need to do to achieve our goals!! It is awesome knowing that I do have a place I can come to for support from people going through the same journey! Keep up the good work, you are already on day 7 whoo hoo!

My surgery is scheduled for Feb 24th. I have to do a two week liquid diet prior to surgery. I am hoping that this won't be as difficult as it sounds. But one day at a time!
