I suffered with GERD before getting my sleeve since my sleeve i have no problems what so ever, however there are people who still suffer after surgery so having a good talk with your medical profession would be the best thing to do. Good luck

You do not need people in your life that is going to bring you down due to there own lack of self confidence. She obviously has issues and your health and well being is more important. There are plenty of people willing to be your friend. If she really was a friend she would understand the health risk of being over weight.

I have been bleeding for 2 months is this normal? 12 weeks post op vsg.

I'm down 54lbs people started noticing between 30-40lbs. I'm 12 weeks post op. every day it's neighbors and friends and family at church that notice. I answer questions if i feel like it.

I thought it was just me being Anemic. I find I have to have a blanket at all times. And now I'm having abnormal periods. I'm 12 weeks post op.

Thank you so much everyone. My doc just put me on Birth control so i will see how that goes for me. I always suffer with abnormal periods before surgery but now it's like ok i would like to feel normal.

Hello fellow sleevers Today marks my 1 month since my surgery I'm feeling great. I started out 324 lbs now I'm 287 lbs. 37 lbs down.

I only selected a few that I wanted to know. Then from there word just got around. I really don't care who knows. I just want support not to be put down because Of my decision. It's bad enough I have to go through this just to lose weight. I have made many attempts over the years and nothing really worked or I would lose the weight just to gain it back.

I too was emotional. I was all ready until the night before i became scared. I cried the day in the hospital. i almost wanted to walk out and leave. Even after i had some dough ts i ask my self did i make a mistake. i had so many what's ifs. I prayed. and now i feel as good as i cant be I'm looking forward to a new me.

I honestly didn't want many people to know but my family, I didn't want people to try to discourage me. When I told my mother In law she told everyone at church. people that I don't really associate with. I was really up set when people was questioning me at church and telling how it's just a bad idea. I was also compared to another sister in my church that has the gastric bypass. I had the sleeve don't and I'm doing fine no complications thank God. Anyhow this other person didn't really take care of them self too well. She also has a lot of habits i don't have. I went ahead any how and I'm doing it for me.
