  1. Thanks for the info. I really want to be one of those who can just get up and walk around within a few days. I have a very high tolerance for pain and I can't stand being stuck in one place for too long. I read about so many who have complications and I want to do anything I can not to have any of those side effects if I can help it. I know that some are unpreventable but I want to do everything I can to make sure my body is ready
  2. I got my probable surgery date this week of April 29. I am trying to figure out what I need to do before going in to be totally ready. I want to have as easy of a recovery as possible as I have three kids, one with a disablility. My doc told me I needed to loose 10-15 lbs before surgery. I have been on a partial iquid diet this week, and plan on going on a full liquid diet starting Monday. I'm worried about loosing that much in such a short amount of time. I used to have three to four bottle Dr Peppers a day but I have only let myself have one a day this week and I am currently finishing my last one. I have been trying to drink 80-120 ounces of Water a day but that is sooooooo hard. I love to exercise and will make sure I do something every day for the next ten days for an hour or more. Any other tips on how to make recvoery as quick and easy as possible???
  3. I'm (sort of) just beginning this process of looking into the sleeve. I'm in Houston and two years ago, I looked into having the sleeve done but my doc, dr. Hollis, pushed the band. After having an EGD, I got chemical pneumonia(painful) because I had coughed up some stomach acid while I was under. So I took time off and tried other things but nothing seems to be working. Fast forward to now, I went to True Results and they are still pushing the band. I am self pay and was told they won't even do self pay sleeves. So, I called NeWeigh on the referral of a friend. They said not to do band, sleeve is a much better option. I had already decided that's what I wanted so now I'm filling out all their papers and have a phone consult next week. They really seem nice. I just hope I have as much good luck as my friend. However, I'm having anxiety and worrying about problems. I have a thirteen year old who is disabled and I need to recover as soon as possible. What is an average expectation for recovery?
  4. K. I'm just beginning this journey. Going for NUT and Psych next week then I have some other tests to be done before we schedule surgery. Hoping for late fen to mid march. At the same time we want to take our kids (18,13,&12) to Disney this summer but I want to give myself enough time to recover and enjoy. What is a good time to plan for this type of trip with lots of walking and heat. I don't want to hold everyone back

How many sizes have you dropped?!?

I too am very well endowed. Worried I will loose a lot off the girls after surgery. My husband said that would be ok he guesses. We will just have to see how it goes. I wear your before sizes now and hope to have the same type progress you're having in a few months

    Pre op diet

Two possible reasons for headache? Were you on a lit of caffeine prior? Detoxing will cause headaches If not, check and see if something you're eating contains aspartame. You may be allergic. That is a problem I had when I was on a liquid diet previously
