I had my band removed over three months ago. My doctor said he likes to wait about 3 months to let the stomach heal and he has had better results doing this. I just had the Sleeve done Feb. 29th and I am doing great. I am on the pureed stage this is my 2nd week and getting alittle tired of the baby food. But I can do it. I also had problems with the port with my lapband and food getting stuck all the time. Good things for us in the future!

I had chicken salad in the fridge for the hubby. It had pecans raisins and some celery. I pureed the crap out of it. And yummm! I also made some mashed califlower... you can puree just about anything... eat all in moderation Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

Love the hummus idea but to eat it straight? I am on puree foods for three weeks, and getting tired of soup. I love Ricotta cheese, little cinnamon and a pkg of splenda just YUMMMY!

Hi there! I'm doing ok I guess still having some sharp gas pains in chest. Today I feel little hungry. Having decaf tea, chicken bouillon and jello. Ready for something else but I know I can't. I have about 5 small incisions but one is larger and hurts much more on the left side..taking pain meds still have too. How us it for you now are you on solid food yet???

I also was banded three years ago had a leak in port area and after that was corrected had more pain problems. My doctor Dr. PUCCI great doctor advised me get sleeve. Hi NJ people, I'm from East Rutherford and had surgery Monday. Got released from hospital yesterday and doing much better. Gas pains were the absolute worst thought I could die....still very sore but taking it slow Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

I actually like this one called Designer whey I get it at Vitamin Shoppe in chocolate. But I also like the strawberry, or Almond flavor. Very tasty I think.

I haven't had my surgery yet and now i am super anxious to get it done. Date is Feb. 29th... you have given me so much hope... you look fantastic. When I can I will certainly post pictures.

These are pretty old posts and I am SURE ya all are doing great! I am getting my sleeve in Feb. 2016 and I am excited and very nervous too. I am nervous about what to say to work and my coworkers, I need to say something and honestly when I DO lose the weight maybe I will say something than but to hear all the garbage before the surgery I just don't want to deal with that. So any ideas PLEASE are welcome!

Hi everyone! I am a newbie to the Sleeve as well. I had the lapband two years ago and had problems with the port and had my band removed almost 3 months ago. My doctor likes to wait about 3 months before I get the sleeve which is scheduled on February 29th.. I am super excited than I get super nervous and scared. Thought I could come on here and find some new friends and support.. Need to hear all the good things that are happening and what to expect day by day. I forgot what it was like having the lapband done, nervous about it being irreversible too! UGGGG! Well thank you for listening and if you would like to add me as a friend please do! Cindy

I just got my letter today too, I am also excited and nervous as hell!

I am scheduled for February and a little nervous.. had the lapband removed.. anyone can you give me advice of what to expect … was your experience a good one?

I can try to help. I had my surgery a year ago and I was doing good. Than I was getting a fill every month because I was always hungry and felt no restictions. So finally my doctor prescribed a Fluroscopic Xray where he can see the Fluid going in and run a dye through the lapband to see if there is a leak. Well after a few minutes he found a leak in the port. I have to have surgery just to fix the port. You should ask your doctor about this xray and thats when he can see if there is a leak of some kind. Also he can give you a fill with doing the xray which some doctors like to do so they can see how much is going in.
