Hi there.. I have a quick question for you. I am looking into the lap band surgery. I noticed you were fairly young as I am to.. I am only 22 going on 23 in a couple weeks. Was it hard to get your doctor to let you do the surgery being that you are young. I am currently 305lbs. Besides asthma I have no other medical problems. I have tryed several diets including weight watchers going to the gym and everything. If you would be so nice to provide me with some info id appreciate it. Also what part of NY are you from.. Im from the kingston area.. Im also an emt-p. Also if you have a recommendation for a doctor and how to get started Id appreciate it.

Is Goal weight possible or only 50%?

Goal is possible. I am 14.5 lbs away from goal. I am down a total of 131 lbs.....in two years (friday is my 2 year bandanniversary). I am hoping the 14.5 lbs will come off before the end of october ..If you follow the rules and work out regularly you can make it no problem. -
I have 12 lbs to go before i hit 199

Thanks hun , Congrads on making in TWO years though..I hit my two years out 8/8 I am currently 123.5 lbs down..

Thanks Misscarol for your kind words..I really need them ..Ive been doing ok otherwise..Starting to loose weight again..think i was stuck on a plateau for a while..Also booked a vacation for my 21st b-day..Going to lake george again With myself, my cousin danny, and maybe a guy friend.. -

are you exercising? I was doing 6 days a week of cardio and weights, and i was stuck @ the same weight, My doctor told me to stop doing weights so much and focus on cardio (do weights only 1-2 times a week) and ive lost 2 1/2 lbs in the last two days... -

alysa, Just wanted to let you know i am thinking about you..My grandpa had 4 bypass surgerys. My grandma 2 heart valve transplants..So i know how emotional everything is..(((hugs)))) ~Kristen -
It will annoy you for the first couple of months after surgery but after that i will be ok. I sleep on my stomach every night
