Breathless

My surgery is on March 8th and I'm so glad I found this group. I'm excited to take this journey with all of you. I've been on a seven day liquid protein diet with a little lean meat and soft veggie for dinner. I'm starting to feel a little more sluggish as each day goes on but hear that should stop soon. I'm so excited to take this next step and get it over with. If there are people out there that have sensitivities to soy protein or whey protein they have a protein drink called Raw Protein by Garden of Life. It's plant based and made with all veggies and bean protein. You definitely need to mix it in the blender and is great if you can add some spinach or kale and a just a little frozen fruit to sweeten it (not very much). I know we are supposed to think protein first, then veggie so fruit might just have to take the back burner from now on. Anyways it's a great alternative for sensitive stomachs and I get it from Amazon.com.

Did you pick a Saturday date yet? I'm having mine on Saturday, March 8th and was also concerned about having the surgery on a Saturday. However, after reading all the good posts and information about Dr. Garcia and staff I know I picked the right date and doctor for me. I know there was one other person scheduled the same Saturday that I picked so I was just wondering if that might of been you.

I'm having a revision with Dr. Garcia on March 8th. Can you help me with hospital post-op care. Do they use pressure stockings during surgery? Do they provide no-skid socks? Were you cold or hot? Do they staple or glue you? What was in the kit they give you while your there and while your leaving? Is there anything you recommend to make the visit go smoother, heating blanket or heating pad? Personal blanket or pillow? Oh ya, did you have a drain or catheter? How was your pain?

I'm having a revision from the band to the sleeve with Dr. Garcia (Ready 4A Change) on March 8th at florence Hospital. I'm super excited and trying to stay as positive as possible. I like the fact that there will be four different doctors in the operating room at the same time. I feel confident about my decision and just pray that everything goes as smooth as possible. I received personal messages about Dr. Garcia and staff and haven't heard one bad thing. I continue to hear very good information and continue to feel better about my future decision.
