hi, I had my fill today, no flouroscopy, 4 sticks 2 really hurt, he had me lift my legs 6 inches to find port, had 1.5 in band, added 1.5, 3cc total in small band, not to bad, liquids for two days. down 20 lbs, banded aug 27. i have also been at a stand still for two weeks, hope the scale starts moving again!

i havent been on the site in a while, but i have been walking! you all are doing really well!

hi lighternyc and everyone else my surgeon stood me up:omg:, he had emergency surgery, said if i was doing ok, to schedule my fill, which i did Sept 27, i have found i can eat any thing, not good, need a fill soon:hungry:, dont think i'm having a esophagram, has not been mentioned, but i definitely dont have any problem eating or swallowing, i guess it must be the new AP band, i understand things will change after my fill. i took my steri strips off, yes they do put sutures in the sites, and yes a thread could stick out. not unusual, i work in a hospital. hope everyone is doing well, take care!

hi everyone, i think i have an AP band, is that the new type? my dr keeps telling me the new improved? although i did not get to see him for my post follow up today he had emergency surgery, i wont see him till my fill sept 27. lighternyc glad to hear your doing better, sounded like a tough start. claramae i'm sorry for your troubles, my 25 y/o son moved back in right before surgery! he can drive me crazy too! but we must take care of ourselves!!! i'm down 17 lbs!!!

hi all, i'm from florida, i was banded on aug 27, i'm 1 week post op today, i'm feeling really well, seem to be able to eat anything applesauce consistency, not really hunger, but not really full either?, my port site hurts, looks ok but painful, my tummy is still kinda bloated, hope this goes away soon! i feel like i can eat more then i'm suppose too, but that seems to be the norm from reading this site, don't have a fill date yet, see the dr tomorrow for post op check up!

hi all, sorry to hear of your discomfort lighternyc, hope things improve soon, i have had no nausea and seem to be able to eat anything that is of applesauce consistency, i think i can eat to much? i can eat 6 oz of soup and a applesauce with no problem? any one else not feeling really full? but i'm not really hunger either?

hi all, I'm doing really well, i do have those little spasms occasionally, like where i think the band would be, port incision hurts the most! i seem to be able to eat more then i thought i would, no nausea, only once at the hospital after liquid pain medicine. went to work friday, tired easily should have stayed home, have the next four days off! i have been eating mostly yougart with Protein powder, blended soups with Protein Powder and sugar free popsicles, also applesauce or other fruit sauces! not really hunger but not really full either? still takeing pain meds in evening and at bed time, slept the first 3 nights upright on the couch, i'm now able to sleep on my belly or left side in bed!!! take care all!

i was banded 1215 eastern time, no problem with gas at this point, but ive heard gas x strips and walking help
