And that is quite understandable. Definitely go with what your doctor advises. I don't have that issue, so I think I am okay

Here is an article about edamame on webmd: http://www.m.webmd.com/diet/features/the-secret-of-edamame

Lol! It's actually soybeans I think. They are green and the size of a large pinto bean. You can buy them in the pod or shelled, both in frozen food section. They are super high in protein. I love them. Pictsweet brand has a microwaveable individual container that has them still in the Pod, sprinkled with sea salt. The container basically steams them in the microwave. I have bought the shelled ones before and steamed them too. Mmmmm yum.

I also have T25....but I am only one week post op today. Lol

Protein and calories
scubachick replied to TheNewSleevedJulie's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
Yes...calories are calories....good ones, bad ones....they all count. -
I think in the beginning you are gonna need to pack what you can eat. Invest in a quality small ice chest that will keep things from spoiling with heat/sun

I think it should definitely be more than 50grams a day. You also have to have a little of the good fats in your diet. If you aren't tracking, you definitely are not gonna know where to begin. Start with tracking and see where you are. Like others have said, your body may be in starvation mode and hanging on to what it can. The lapband is a tool and we have to learn how to use it to our advantage. Not against it.

It was very simple. It didn't look the same as the restaurant, but was purer in form I think. It tasted great. Another revelation today ....unflavored Protein powder in my cran-grape juice. Tasted like a fruit smoothie. Nutrition freak friend puts it in his Gatorade and I was like hmmmm....tried it and though praise The Lord, a Protein Drink without milk. Lol.

I don't think he did....he didn't say. I have a friend who used him as well and she can't remember. Haha. Feeling even less sore today. Maybe today is the day for the full 64oz.
-
I think it's because I had a hiatal hernia repair at the same time.
-
Are you able to consume the 64oz a day yet? Cause I am not. Just wondered.
-
The protein shakes really have helped my hunger feelings. I know it will help you once you can have them too.

I am on day 4 post op...I feel much better today than yesterday. Yesterday I still was pretty sore in my core ab area when getting up/down, no matter how I got up. Today, very little to no discomfort most of the time. I consumed more liquids today than yesterday so far....still not at 64oz. I will get there.

I have to take teeny sips...or I burp. It's a learning thing for me. It took me 2 hrs to drink 8oz protein shake with 1 full scoop of protein and one cube of ice. -
