4) my mouth would forever taste like the north end of a pig going south. It's nasty. I admit to never being very good about brushing my teeth regularly but now it's twice a day because my mouth is so slimy and gross. SO GROSS!! That's so funny!!! LOL -

CPAP or BPAP Machine for sleep apnea
Mr.sleeve replied to CurvyCakes's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have had mine for 2 years now and I cant sleep without it. I have a full face mask, mouth breather. If I fall asleep on the couch for a couple of hrs without it I feel like crap when I wake up. I need it. I had no problems sleeping with it, I have found out if I put the hose over my headboard it doesn't get messed up or bother me at all. Yes it isn't sexy but it is now just part of life, it is exciting when the wife unbuckles it you know things are going to happen!! lol. I am hoping after the surgery and I loose the weight I will no longer need it, all though I'll need another one of those sleep tests. That is one of my goals. -
I was given a list of Vitamins and Protein shakes approved by my dr. I bought a supply of vitamins from Bariatric Advantage, I figure I will used these until I have healed then use regular vitamins you can buy at any store. I have read a lot of people just use them. As for Protein drinks I have Premier Protein, GNC, and carnation low sugar, all of these are approved and are great tasting.

All my pre op tests are done, insurance approved surgery date 2/25. I have to be at the hospital @ 5:45 AM 1st sleeve of the day. I start my liquid diet on 2/15. I am a bit scared, nervous, anxious, excited. It also doesn't help that my wife is also getting scared and second guessing the whole thing, She is my ROCK and I need her support. She is afraid of losing me, kids losing there dad, or see me go thru this and it not work. I keep telling her I'll be fine and it WILL work, I will make it work. Good luck to everyone.
