Hi new friends! My name is Dani and I'm new to this forum. I've had a lap-band since 2005. I was very successful over the first 5 years with losing the excess weight and keeping it off. In 2010 I had all of my saline removed as a result of ongoing complications and I'm at a point now where I've been advised by my gastroenterologist to get the lap-band removed. After finally finding a surgeon willing to remove it (that was half the battle) he is also recommending a revision to a sleeve. And after reading The BIG book on the Gastric Sleeve I'm sold! I'm fortunate to know friends who have had gastric bypass and lap-bands that have shared their private journeys. And I have not met one person who wouldn't do it all over again. That says a lot for me. Unfortunately, I know no one who's had the sleeve or a revision procedure. I'm looking forward to getting to know as many of you as I can on this new weight loss journey.
